Spoks, 09 May 2012have you ever noticed a lag when the phone is in idle mode and when you clicked the menu butto... moreHave you got it on power saving mode.. Thats slows it right down especially when battery is low.
If your phone is lagging then go into settings and check out your running services in applications. turn off what ur not using, and remember even the keyboard uses alot of RAM so switching to swype keyboard for a couple of hours and then back to ur natural keyboard reduces the RAM by a ver large amount. Let me know if i'm on the right track ppl.
alfareezan, 07 May 2012I just bought SGN. It is fine, except dat once in a while it will switch off and on by itself.... moreI heard that the GO launcher uses data off your contract so it might be that thats causing ur phone to on/off like that. I've got quite a few apps (over 50) on mine and have no probs.
Spoks, 09 May 2012have you ever noticed a lag when the phone is in idle mode and when you clicked the menu butto... moreNot happening with my Note. it can play Dead Space (a 3D First Person Shooter game) quite smoothly with no lags. No delay when switching it on, unlike as you say.
Spoks, 09 May 2012have you ever noticed a lag when the phone is in idle mode and when you clicked the menu butto... morecould be that you have too many apps working , or something could be wrong with your unit coz mine is fast , smooth and yes it gets hot when playing long tyme but I keep the apps off all the time when no needed , try that

Just keep in mind that Samsung is no Apple when it comes to FW updates, looks like he has a new goal now:How to sell more phones to keep his global ranking.!!
Yes on this phone the lag is everywhere, however in the Contacts application is just unbearable, almost 6 seconds lag!! while on the wake up it takes at laest 2 seconds,my 3 years old HD2 on WM does those things instantly!!
software-wise this phone is complete fail.will never get a Samsung again and period.
Phone is not worth buying, it lags , it gets hot (not warm ) nd den d lag is much high...poor samsung service..
PEDddddddddddddddddd, 08 May 2012is this only support micro sim .....????????nope its d std sim size. not d micro version. :-)
Why samsung do not use metal side panel (like iphone) as they are using metallic color on plastic. Main problem is that, few month later that color will be removed and look very odd.
have you ever noticed a lag when the phone is in idle mode and when you clicked the menu button or lock button, there is a 1-2 seconds lag before the screen wakes up... its just so annoying... i thought this phone is fast...
and also, i noticed that its touch response time is delayed... i cant play temple run and even fruit ninja well because the touch response is slow..
is this phone really that dumb ass?
im on the edge of regretting buying this phone..
are there any solution for this problem?
my friend's S2 is much faster (so much faster) than my GNote and i feel humiliated thinking that I paid more than him...
Anonymous, 08 May 2012Just read my lips:No F*#*@&G ICS update for the Note,Samsung simply too lazy to develope i... moreIf you think about it, the big difference of Galaxy Note and the upcoming Galaxy S III are the processor (S III has a quad-core), software (S III has ICS with some neat stuff) , and screen size (Note .5" bigger). I'm hoping the ICS update with a premium suite for the Note would give us the same stuff the S III can do - Smart Stay eye-tracker, simultaneous camera recording, multiple camera burst, zero camera lag, Smart Voice, and that auto-call function.
Android 2.3.6 is working fine with the Note. It just works. I'm guessing that the delay of our Note's OS update has to do something with the launch of the S III.
If we get the OS update coupled with the benefits of the Wacom S Pen, we'd get something quite more than the S III (of course the quad-core Exynos is something for the S III). The likeliness of us getting an update to Android 4 is becoming more apparent with the official advertisement of the Note's premium suite, Canadian Note users getting them ahead of the rest already and the recent Note demo unit of AT&T with ICS.
If Samsung will stick to their promise of giving us the update for this second quarter period, it would come this month of May.
it was very nice.net in this phn very slow rather than G y
