Changing the internal memory is not possible for us as it is a hardware issue that could be dealt with only by the Samsung people. Anyways, 16 GB internal memory plus 32 GB external memory is sufficient for any one to use galaxy note happily. That too, Galaxy note supports micro USB connection. Then you can use it in case you feel the 48GB is not sufficient. 32GB Galaxy S2 was not honoured by the buyers in India, and it might be the reason perhaps with Samsung Note to be released with only 16GB internal memory in India. Note would have been available with 32 GB model in other countries.

It's a safety measure too, as you reduce the risk of the battery over charging that may result in combustion in your Galaxy Note. My friend's HTC's battery exploded after a prolonged charge.

LTE version are using snapdragon chips instead. there are only 16gb exynos version on the market now. you have to check the compatibility of your network in your country.
