Hopefully, the stuttering is gone at least.
The Galaxy S8 has four times as much computing performance as the Galaxy Note 3, which already had 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps (no real slow motion encoding, but proves sufficient processing power) and locked screen rotation, and no frame skipping, did already perform great. But two years ago, I noticed, how the 60fps mode on the Note 4 was messed up with Lollipop. I can tell more about that later, but that 60fps mode now shoots at 30fps. Huge disappointment.
The CPU performance of the S7 was sufficient for 2160p@60fps already. The image sensor reading speed is sufficient. iMX240. And 1080p should be possible at 120fps too. Because 2160p@30fps means 248832000 Pixels per second, which the Galaxy Note 3 hardware could deliver, I wonder, why this number has never been beaten by Samsung after that.
PS: I wish, that GSMArena would allow comment hotlinking. | At least, 64 GB of internal storage is now globally available. But the Camera apparently is better on the S7: same hardware, better user interface, presuming that you have still not upgraded to Marshmallow.
Anonymous, 30 Mar 2017Wtf?! Still the same camera as S7?! No 1000fps video recording?! Tf?! Sony Xperia XZ Premium c... moreYour right the camera on the Sony will destroy Samsung.
But guess what nobody really buys Sony phones so in the long-run it won't matter.
if you samsung fanboys are ok with what you get why are you comparing Samsung with Sony. its because you know Sony could beat Samsung in a way but sony is not after beating anyone its after giving customers what is worth their money
guys you should check the camera quality of xperia xzs i was speechless Shamsung is just crap quality talks
I would go with the G6 same features + wide camera and less expansive !!!
Harold, 30 Mar 2017Sony is the only company that innovates, lol 960fps Samsung tried to include 1000fps but didn'... moreOkay.. but Sony just can't produce good pictures with their own sensors. They didn't really improve their camera work since the Z3, which always kept me from buying an Xperia. It's just not particularly good in good light.. not to speak of their low light performance.
Dj, 30 Mar 2017Great but.... no IR!? I'll keep my Note 3 IR is long dead
Dj, 30 Mar 2017Great but.... no IR!? I'll keep my Note 3 If you need IR you can buy Huawei P10 Plus ;)
Mr. TC, 30 Mar 2017it dosen't suporte radio. that is a owfull thing The S3 was the last S series phone to have radio. You can go for the A or C series, or go and buy the G6 that has radio.
Harold, 30 Mar 2017Sony is the only company that innovates, lol 960fps Samsung tried to include 1000fps but didn'... more4K display? Who needs that actually? QHD is enough even for VR.
What Samsung should do is to add larger batteries. Seriously 3000 mAh for a 5.8 inch QHD is stupid, even if it has Super Amoled.
Sony is advancing back as well. The XZ Premium has a smaller battery than the Z5 Premium. :))
Dj, 30 Mar 2017Great but.... no IR!? I'll keep my Note 3 I'm on 2 Note 3 :)))
Mobilemaster, 30 Mar 2017Sony will not win even this time you will see it. They simply can not compete with Samsung. Th... moreSony is the only company that innovates, lol 960fps Samsung tried to include 1000fps but didn't because it was too late. Next Samsung phone will have a 4k screen and Samsung Fanboys like you will buy it and walk around like Samsung is God of the mobile world. Only reason Samsung is still on top is because of its market share. Sony will soon catch up..just watch.
Wtf?! Still the same camera as S7?! No 1000fps video recording?! Tf?! Sony Xperia XZ Premium could destroy this crap!!!
You must be kidding! My S7 edge 3600 mAh battery can't last even a day what do you think of this monster?? No matter how powerful your smartphone is if battery can't last you a day then what's the point? Ok bring a powerbank then I rather buy a heavier phone with 4000-5000mAp like Moto, This is downgrade not upgrade.....Thanks but will wait for iphone 8 instead...
