There's a app for radio which S3 supports it. Radio function is usable for this phone.

dissapointed it doesn't have a radio but i could really care less considering how nice this phone is...notification LED with different colors, HD display, Amoled screen...

Ugh, $629 and 2 yr contract extension on T'Mo. Wth? I just renewed my contract 2 months ago....Nope, not doing it T-Mo, as much as I like you. Anyone know a location where I can buy one already, but without contract???

You can call T-mobile and have them give you the unlock code. Tell them exactly you want to travel outside the country and they will unlock it for you. At least that is what I did with my my touch 4g

Check this link. Maybe it'll clear out our confusion. It says that SGS3 is pentaband. :D

ALthough AnandTech.com claims that it has tested SGS3 for T-Mo and says that it'll work on AT&T too.

I think you mean to say the 1900 UMTS Band because AFAIK AWS Band = 1700 frequency.

I hope there's a misprint on T-Mobile's part. I'd really love to get hands on the pentaband version rather than a crippled one.

Hmmm these specs show the 3G frequency of 1700 MHz, but on the T-Mobile website (USA), it does not have that listed, only this:

Band (frequency): 850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band I (2100);UMTS: Band IV (AWS);UMTS: Band V (850)

Do we know for sure that the 1700 MHz has been dropped or is 1700 MHZ part of Band IV on T-Mo end?
