aditya ace, 18 Dec 2011It's not safe because you have to perform it manually, and why to do this while Google has ju... moreI kinda agree to that. Its always safe to update via OTA. That said, if you have the slightest of idea what you are doing, updating manually should be a cake walk. BTW, has the Indian Nexus S started getting the OTA update? I'm still waiting for it :( I keep taping on the system update tab but it always shows "system up to date"
It's not safe because you have to perform it manually, and why to do this while Google has just began updating their nexus s gsm phones.
And today morning I got the update via OTA. And just updated my nexus s to 4.0.3.
In just 5 min.....so simple rather than installing rom by plugging ur nexus s to the computer. It was so easy and simple, I think every nexus s user has got the update.
Anonymous, 17 Dec 2011Why it is not safe? It is official update exactly the same which you will get OTA from Google.... moreit isnt safe at all..
i fcked up my phone doingthis,.....
i cant open recoery now..... damn....

guys! it says dat d ICS update file is 'for T Mobile version only'.. nw wat ds dat mean? plz explain.. I have i9023.. cn I update my phn wit dis file?
hi I'm from India. I got the pics updates by Google recommendations. can any one tell me how can I get a face detection screen lock plzzzzz
Why it is not safe? It is official update exactly the same which you will get OTA from Google. If you know how to update, which infact is a very simple 2 minutes procedure, then there is no use to wait for the OTA. Guys go ahead you get the official update.
I can update my Nexus s i9023 2.3.6 to ice cream sandwich4.0.3 but I will not because somehow it is not safe.I will wait till I 'll get it via OTA ......GUYS WAIT UNTIL THE GOOGLE ITSELF NOT RELEASE IT VIA OTA.
I just updated my Nexus S to ICS manually. Awesome. Go for it guys, you will love it. Follow this link, who want to update manually. Its official update, so nothing to worry.
