I find it interesting that they named it the "i300"... I am a former i330 owner.. great phone, although buggy. When it came out on SprintPCS it was all the rave!

i must say that i prefer the w800 becouse of its 30h plyback suport its 2mp camera wich i sean what it can do its like the s700 at 2 mp it was comperd with a canon so daaa its cool
and i prefer the memory stick becouse its liter so macking the phone liter a read that the w800 suports 3 g not 1
aniway a belive that 0.5g its enoth if not buy a biger card
ouuuu and bye the whay win mobile its crap i prefer symbian or non symbian
the samsung its cool to i got more respect for anycall i mean samsung(thi mobiles are old in corea japan ..) gg sony gg samsung

RE: W800 RIP question
this means it totally killed the W800, because W800 is supposed to be the "mp3 player/phone" and it does kill the ipod = P

believe it or not i seen on a site that researchers predict that most phones will have built in digital tv by 2007 and by 2009 smartphones will take over pdas by 2009 when sales for pdas drop and will have psp quality games (r.i.p pdas). it should be interesting to see the outcome of this by then phones will probably have the ability to record from tv and have huge hdd. this should be good but will be hard to keep up with but it also means less portables to carry around.

hmm just a pity this didn't have fm radio ah well i might get a Newgen D2000W which has an fm radio, windows mobile, a 1.3mp camera, 256k screen and it is the same size as a samsung d500 with the same slide phone form factor, the only thing is that it doesn't have a hdd but it has mini sd card slot but anyway i'm getting a 30gb linux pma anyway that will hold more or less all my songs but this phone will be perfect for a reasonable amount too and fun features with the camera, fm radio, games and stuff.

"W800 RIP"
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i300 is like ipod not like w800. btw i don't know whats the big hype about the w800 nothing that special samsung is already bringing out 5mp and soon to have 7mp. ah does the w800 have a 3gb hdd ? no. does it have a click wheel ? no. does it have a better camera ? yes. do i care ? no. does it have an fm radio ? yes. again do i care ? no. does it have windows os ? no. does that mean it can play emulators ? no. so how is the i300 a w800 rip imo i think the i300 is much better.

um the old windows 2002 os was crap but this is like windows 2005 so it is much better and can do more things better than symbian. windows mobile can play playstation games, game boy advance games, pc games and nintendo 64 games which symbian can't do. windows mobile and symbian can both play realone player but windows mobile is the better os imo.

i see that everyone keeps comparing this to the w800. the only advantages that the w800 has is the fm radio, smaller in size, lighter and 2mp camera but imo i think that the i300 is better. the i300 already has 3gb built in whilst with the w800 you can only hold up to either 1gb or 2gb (i can't mind) which will cost a lot. also i300 has a windows os allowing lots of applications and emulation allowing you to play playstation games , nintendo 64 games, game boy advance games, pc games etc. to finish the i300 has click wheel like ipod making it a perfect ipod phone. what do i care about 2mp as i think 1.3mp is very clear (especially samsungs cameras). i300 rules.

this phone is amazing the only thing is that there is no fm radio but hopefully samsung will bring out an fm radio headset compatible with this.

and i dont see how this is a w800 rip if its got 3gb of space
its a fricken ipod phone yo... and windows mobile, its basically a mini laptop... all its missing is wifi and it will be the perfect phone. ever.

This is something like iPod's scroll wheel! even this model starts with i***... basically with 3GB, it is a mini-thumbdrive that is already very small.. nice phone..

the rivals to all the new phones from samsung will be the new SE phones, the 240x320 screen resolution from samsung over the SE 176x220 might just settle the rivalry for samsung. BUT as an overall phone for functionality and quality nokia still lead the way, OK they are releasing very few (none handsets) but you have got to remember samsung are producing flash phones with amazing cameras - and very poor in the other areas- ie applications. the only true phone i am impressed with is the i-300. but the menu wont be have as sophisticated as a nokia. i feel samsung are using the knowledge they have in electronics into they phones. but they still cant make a MOBILE phone. i have got a d500 by the way. (not for long though) because the menu isnt half as good as 6230 or k700.
