Can somebody tell me in which format should I sync video files because most of them won't play in full screen? Thanks

I used the i320 for a few months now, and love it. The Activesync was set up within 30s, and synch'd with my office exchange server - and I've had useful functionality using the phone as a music and a video player, and often I don't even bother opening my laptop for writing emails thanks to the qwerty keyboard.
I would only ever buy a Windows Mobile (despite its quirks) due to the ease of use, and Exchange Server synchronisation. And due to thin form factor, it's the only phone I can carry in my pocket comfortably.
This is my first Samsung phone, and I'm a convert. Several of my colleauges got the phone as well after they saw mine.

I have had this device for two months now, and think it's fantastic. It's small and light but robust, and looks great. No problems with POP3 email, GPRS and EDGE setup and internet browsing using either Internet Explorer (included) or Opera Mini (available for download). I have added a 1Gb microSD card, and use this to store PDF and Word files and MP3 files. The machine syncs easily with Word.
I had been worried about the battery life, but in practice I'm finding the battery lasts 2-3 days (approx 30mins telephone usage, 1h PDA usage per day).
I only have a few niggles, mainly to do with the Windows Mobile operating system - there is no 'notes' facility in WM5, which I think is crazy for a PDA - I had to buy a third-party add-on (Phatnotes). One even more remarkable flaw in WM5 is that there is NO COPY AND PASTE! How can a Windows organiser be produced without copy and paste? The lack of stylus is no excuse. I have had to find a third-party add-on for this. Finally, I do have to reboot the system occasionally due to crashes. This happens twice a week or so, and is quite frustrating.
Overall, a great machine which benefits from some third-party add-ons. I just wish Microsoft would sort out their operating system!

I've had this phone for around 3 months now. I am completely frustrated by it. I was only able to get the WAP browser to work so that I could see emails but the push email function did not work because i couldn't run the POP3 mail. Don't buy it. It's useless. It's cool for like a week, but ultimitely Samsung has no support for their phones online like Nokia does. Formfactor is great, it's small but at this point all i use it for is as a phone. I'm gonna get a Berry. Trust me unless you are very capable with software (thought i was) then skip this model. It's clearly not working for anyone now that i see other people with the same problems I had in North American providers. Nokia E61 was perfect as far as running an unlocked PDA on a random network. Nokia programs the whole phone by sending u a text message via their website. Could it be any simpler ?!.

does the i320 and the 130n have the same processor? i ordered the i320 from my worldphone.com but received the i320n instead. those fools blew me off- no returns, no exchanges, no further communication. decided to keep it rather than resell on ebay. the processor seems so slow- it lags for several seconds just going through the menus. the review on this site claims that it is fast- maybe i'm not used to smart phones and several second lags are considered fast. also the n version doesn't have voice assist, voice dialing, or voice commands but the i320 does. after configuring the wap settings i was able to surf with the wap browser and built-in internet explorer browser but third party applications that required internet access couldn't connect. installed opera mobile browser- wouldn't work. radio feeds program- wouldn't work. yahoo Go! program- wouldn't work. all programs give a gprs settings error- despite endless tweaking and changing. settings will only work for built-in apps.
i don't know if the n version is somehow limited this way while the original product isn't. as far as i know my phone is unbranded- although there was a bunch of arabic brochures in the box and preconfigured settings for various service providers from turkey, uae, saudi arabia, etc.
has anyone else with this phone gotten it to work with third party apps and the internet? i'm on tmobile usa with the $5.99 wap plan.

Hated it, had it 3 days and sent it back to Vodafone, it feels like a pocket calculator rather than a mobile phone, the qwerty keyboard sounds like a good idea but in practice it is a major disadvantage, texting becomes a two handed exercise rather than a single thumb.
Other things I disliked was the fact the charging socket connects on the side of the phone, this makes charging the phone very clumsey, also you need to remove the battery to remove the memory card.
The Windows mobile OS feels like a poor imitation of Symbian badged as Windows, also the phone is not 3G which seems incredible, all in all its a terrible phone, avoid.

used it for 8 day,found battery life getting better a bit,hav 2 dim backlight from registry to prolong it.open regisry editor,open this path:local machine/system/currentcontrolset/control/power/state/on, see a "default",change the number key from "0" to "3".now u can get backlight dimmed at a constant lower level to save battery dramatically.just take battery out to get back to original setting.

To have an mp3 play as your ringtone you need to place the sound file in the "sounds" folder.
my windows mobile-based device ->
application data ->
sounds ->
If you put the files there, you should be able to select them as you would any other ringtone that was previously available.

Had the same problem. Keep trying. After my first try I switched to only vibrate and tried that. After that I switched back to ring and vibrate and it worked. Good look.

I bought this phone after my Nokia E61. First it took me about 3 hours to set the e-mail settings. The battery has to be charged every night. Reception is poor. The phone did not work when other phones (such as sony ericsson, motorola and blackberry)with the same provider worked perfect. I am now back with the E61. Design is not everthing.
