i had this phone for few months. it was a nice phone with great specs, until it was dead. my advice to you all:
-update to more stable firmware
-be careful with trackball
-dont install apps n themes from untrusted sources
-dont install multiple security program

my phone freezed at samsung logo screen so decided to sell it. idk why coz there was no problem whatsoever before. if u wanna buy this phone, experience the fun but dont expect too much. next time, buy a more user-friendly or popular phone. btw im still using samsung

My first and my LAST Samsung phone... EVERY TIME i insert the microSD card, the phone restarts itself! If i take out the card, there are no problems and the phone runs pretty well so, I say adios to Samsung!!!

had the phone since 2009,just changed my memory card recently since a message kept flashing that memory is low & need to delete some applications.When I turned my phone on all my contacts are gone,where can I retrieve my contacts & how can i delete & see my phone memory?Pls help.thanks

i use this phone for 6 month, and im still satisfied of it.
-big display
-decent sounds
-internet works fine(i've no wi-fi,just using operator conection)
-gps software i use garmin xt and it works fine.
-baterry 2-5 days,depends of usage(those who complain about baterry,try to charge it turned off,it last longer).
Im Not Satisfied by camera takin pictures.Coz on the phone looks fine , but when i dowload images to PC,images are darker.
Has any1 a solution for improving camera images quality?tnx

can some1 help me with this unit? i've got a problem on sending messages it wil just go to outbox and wont send. i can only receive messages but cannot send..if i wil continue resending it, it will give a detail that 8s already memory full even if ders a lot of free space for both phone and memory card storages.

Just to clear some minds, i've installed the new firmware following osama's instructions and it works fine. i've tried the wifi fw first but my phone is not wifi so i guess that you need both firmware and wifi hardware on your phone (i550w) otherwhise it won't work! so i'm using i550XXHH1 in Portuguese and i just had to set my www, wap and mms settings for my operator. i can advise some gps softwares like navigon, garmin xt or ndrive, they work just fine with internal gps receiver.

Hi there,
Can anyone help me please?!
After i exchanged the font type with "FlipFont" and turned it off, the phone can't start again.Just flashs the LOGO, but not turn on.
So i can't do the hard reset.

My SGH-i550W only have Mystic, Nightwatch, and Spazio

Anyone have this theme from i550?

i have been using thisn handset from last two years n basically using it for multimedia n was not able to findany problem in it....i m havng a gud xprnces till dtae..vrymuch satisfied..specially wd d camera..
