i have this phone for a year and a half now... did not get any problems so far, it said on its specs it can only handle 4gb memory card but i have an 8gb memory! i dunno whats wrong with your battery life but mine can last for 2-4 days! depending on the usage and i text and listen to music alot... had a good features with its symbian OS you can install "almost" all sis and jar programs... has a great camera and nice wide screen. the only thing that "sucks" in this phone is the trackball and Damn! that trackball sucks! overall this phone is good but not that great... cheers!

after one year and few months of buying this set here's what i concluded:
powerful full option set, great display, great video and audio qualities...
unfortunately, u don't have time to enjoy all these options (battery life is worst of the worst).
trackball also suck, but u can manage.
i do regret buying this set all because of the battery, yet i've learnt what to buy in the future.
comparing to many sets this one opened video files that no other set nokia, sony ericsson, HTC could open.
anyways it was a good experience like i said to know what to buy in the future.

I guess this's a hardware issue...

...because of the spare part is very expensive, i'm still not fixing it yet...!! I still like this phone...

Everything in phone still fine except the Internet & WIFI...

HI again,
My Phone's WLAN's broken, it's always showing "System Error" and the Internet's showing "Unable to connect Internet!". The "Connection Manager" became unavailable...

The GPS still OK, I still don't test the MMS and 3G Video Call!
I had Brought my phone to SSC. Change the Sparepart (PCB Set) that costs more than this Phone's Sell Price, then i canceled because of very expensive! =(

Last time i used Google Maps (using Internet Connection).
BTW, Can you gime me suggestion about GPS application that have maps to install, so this will not use internet connection?

can i change the sms or message tone of this phone? coz what i've read, you can only personalize the ringtone and not the message tone.is there any way to change the message tone? thanks a lot!

My name is zahid ahmad and i m from pakistan.today when i was updating my samsung i550w firmware from i550jpgl3 to i550meh3,the updating process suddenly failed and now when i start my phone it just hangs at the logo.nothing goes on.....Can anyone please help me because here we have no near samsung centers so please help me.

2.The only way I have managed to extend battery life for 2 days is to reduce brighteness on minimum,to instal garmin 4.10.80(NO GARMIN 5!),to often use TaskMan
(options>more>close all apps),reduce usage of gprs and wifi.And of course reduce camera usage.
