I just bought the i550W in Sunway and yes its already out in Malaysia. It has Wifi, and the display resolution is fantastic. The GPS is really cool and the Symbian software is far more superioi then of the Nokia's. I really love the phone. It has everything and for once Samsung did not miss out anything. The only problem I am facing now is that there are very small number of Symbian software out there that can work with this phone. I just purchased the Kapersky Mobile anti-virus for USD29.95 and it cant work with the i550. Now I dont know what to do with the software. No doubt the i550 is Symbian S60 3rd edition but none of the available software work on it. Why I dont know and even Samsung cant provide a solution or answer. In short, the phone rocks and I love it.

i am a regular user of pda phones and i bought the i550 as a change and i have to say it is amazing. besides looking and feeling light and great in size its services are amazing. well done samsung. and i can confirm yes it does have wifi. the phone has been out in dubai for a couple of weeks now.

Here, its swedish but i hope it helps for you guys who wants to know more about this phone.
This page says 8 houres talk time and 450 stand by.

to all i550 user...can you please post your opinion regarding SYMBIAN OS on samsung phone

1. is it buggy(like those on nokia)?
2. is it stable? much better than those of nokia?

Hi :)

Can someone tell me if I can use Push-To-Talk application with this device ?

Most of Nokia S60 3rd ver has this application and service built-in but, for old devices I used to install the application and it will work, So please inform me if this Samsung i550 can also do the same with PTT service.

I presume the hack is something software based but without access to firmware for the I550W, its difficult!

Hello Guys,

i'am an employee of Samsung and i can assure you, that every i550 has the wi-fi Software.

I lost a bet with a workmate of mine, didnt thougt that you find out so quickly.

But now i have a new bet with him, will see how long do you need to unlock this hardware.
