can somebody please tell me how to turn off the gprs of I5700 Galaxy spica..thanks a lot.
I can send files over BT from Win7 to Spica. But from Spica to Win7 transfer is very buggy. I only manage to send first picture, multiselect is not working. Tried in gallery and Astro.
Lun di Rani, 24 Jul 2010No,after updating to 2.1 os then bluetooth works properlyThanks a lot,but can you pls tell if its touch than y ok button?..and if we can install other application from PC its working fine?...
Astro has a seperate plugin for BT. The best option is to share, else install ES File manager which does it all too very well.
Battery with gprs on, 1.5 days. With gprs off, 2.5 day.
For normal use, the backlight can be kept at the min level. When out in sunlight it can be increased. Network and calls work very well.
Hi Guys My Name Is Cristiano And I Want This Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700, But I Don't Want The Sim Just The Phone. So Do You Know Where I Can Just Get The Phone Because I Really Need It. So Can You Guys Help Me Out
I have Galaxy Spica for the last two months, must say that I'm very pleasantly suprised with this Samsung mobile.
Got it for free from my mobile operater to extend my contract, at first my plan was to sell it, but after two days of playing with it, I changed my mind.
Pros: It's nice, its fast, it is compact, sound during calls is quite ok... display sensitivity is good, many good programs in Android market, battery life is average for one smartphone(2 days).
Cons: bad PC software support (solved with newest PC studio and Droid PhoneControl), battery meter not good(solved with Android System Info from market), bluetooth(I do not use bluetooth at all, on any phone... but update to 2.1 Android solves that too)...
My opinion is, after years of advanced using of Symbian phones, after that - iPhone, that i5700 is very good choice in this price range.
Can anybody tell me after installing Android 2.1 os all features are working fine or creates a problem?... like some one is saying Blue tooth is not working properly after installing Android 2.1 os.

Ramu Nair, 22 Jul 2010Samsung has pulled this model out of Indian market. and then introduced Wave and Galaxy S for ... moreYes Spica is the most aggressively priced Android Phone in the indian market, @ 12.5k its a steal :)
Samsung has NOT pulled spica out of the market, i have confirmed this from SAMSUNG's Service centers and Helpline numbers.
Its availabilty is an issue, and its understandable, Samsung as a company has devoted almost all its resources for Wave, Galaxy S and others.. hence the shortage,I heard that many of the Spica's were being shipped off to Euro markets, since they fetch a higher price there than in India/Asia.
You could wait for a while to get ur hands on fresh stock, be in touch with Samsung Privilege Partner, if anyone can get the stocks, its them!
Best of luck
