Ya this is what all are waiting for and does this have a windows media player 10, hope this comes affordable in INDIA, as most of us would prefer to get this.

I think this would be a great phone, but does this have a windows media player, and why does this not have EDGE..., hope it could be affordable as many are waiting to get one like this in INDIA.

I don't get it.. so there are 2 different i600 for Samsung? what's the one released by Samsung in 2004 for Verizon?

Y9Ae said that Wi-Fi/No-3G i600, no-WiFi/3G i607 (Blackjack). I think that i600 has both Wi-Fi and 3G.

1. This is NOT the Blackjack.

2. This is quad band GSM, usable on Cingular US.

3. This is UMTS 2100, NOT usable on Cingular US.

4. Your real choice is: Wi-Fi/No-3G i600, no-WiFi/3G i607 (Blackjack).

For me, with email a priority, Wi-Fi is irrelevant. Cingular EDGE is plenty fast for that. Although I have 3G in the Boston area, EDGE is also good enough for my important web sites. Certainly its coverage is better than Wi-Fi.

blackjack has a wifi antenna, its just not enabled by cingular.
Does this phone have the N. American wcdma frequencies that Cingular uses for 3G - 850/1900, or Euro 3G of 2100Mhz?

I have the blackjack, btw. Even without wifi, the HSDPA is awesome and the phone is not crippled. Wifi would be nice, but after having 3g for a month, I don't even notice the lack of wifi.

Looks like this phone is going to be a hotseller. Too bad some people will be buying the Blackjack thinking it is the i600. Just keep your receipt so you can return it.

Also it is obvious to point out that this phone doesn't match HTC's products, after all what does HTC specialize in?

for me I have been looking for a phone just like a BlackBerry yet all releases do not support 3G. Now this phone supports it great !! Ill buy it

the 10megapixel had only release in korea,while gsm user,the highest is 3.2megapixel.then i hope samsung release 5megapixel as fast as possible cause LG already release their 5megapixel.10megapixel must wait.

Samsung has already announced whooping 10-Mega Pixel Samsung SCH-B600. Why go for 5MP less?

Guys
This phone is not BlackJack and is more advanced than BJ. Those who gone buy BJ-i607 wait for a month. This phone will be released in the first quarter of 2007.If it comes to Business class phone i love Nokia E61 but this phone is a real killer of E61, Sony Ericsson M and P series, Motorola Q, LG and in particular Blackberry.

OK fine all those who this fine is the Blackjack lets create a world for you and call it..(the matrix) cos in the matrix anything is possible. And those who believe this phone is not the Blackjack....just stay where you are cos the matrix is about to be destroyed.

Not as good as HTC's devices but as a Samsung fan, I love it! Still, for a smartphone or PDA, I think any user who knows his stuff would still appreciate HTC better.

guys i like this phone so much ...!!!!
usually i don't like samsumg cause most of the time itshasn't so much power normal phons for normal users
i have now nokia 7710 but i'm looking for something more simple as 7710 so big :) and hevey.... i was thinking of nokia E61 but i think this one would be so much better better as its windows mobile + its nice look and 1.3 MP cam not bad ...

This phone (samsung i600) is not the same as the Samsung Blackjack, also known as the samsung i607. They are alike in everyway, except the i600 is wifi enabled, and it has a 2nd camera on the front of the phone used for video calling. Basically the Blackjack is a stripped down version of the i600.
