WM6 supports resolutions above 65k so if the specs are correct, it is the phone's fault.
In fact it does not matter, you will see no difference at 2.4" 320x240.
HSDPA 1.8 Mbps is different to 3.6 Mbps, becaus the latter needs GSM 2100 MHz. Again you will see no difference on 320x240, on mobile phones usually rendering speed limits browsing above a certain connection speed.
WM6 is better to WM5 in several ways, but an upgrade was promised by Samsung to the i600 as well.

No obvious advantages over the i600 apart from WM6. Yes, it has a slightly higher res cam w/flash, but everything else is the same.
Personally, adding a sliding mechanism just adds another thing to worry about. I say, the less moving parts, the better (durability-wise).
And what's the screen size? It looks the same as the i600's. Kinda defeats the purpose of the slider form factor if you use up so much space for those buttons and the D-pad, instead of increasing the screen size.
Once again, fashion over function...

i think this would be my answer for white Samsung smartphone. actually i plan to buy the i600, but unfortunately its only available in black. i'm looking for the white colour. and i600's camera is only 1.3mp. the i620 is all i want. its white, with 2mp camera, and windows mobile 6.0. when can i purchase this phone in south east asia countries?hopefully the price won't be higher than the i600

Samsung is the bomb my friend. I know that because I own their Samsung Z540, and it has proven to be a great phone. But time progresses and so does technology, and I love it when Samsung creates something really cool and innovative for their customers.

My point is that Samsung is, well... languishing with their outdated technology. I do truly like Samsung and all of their products, but Samsung needs new ideas.

For now I hope that Samsung creates something cool, because I really don't like Nokia.

Oh yeah none of us are losers, all of us would agree that we don't want to be brung down to your level.

Samsung, every other phone company is progressing with design and technology, a lot of cool phones from your competitors are drawing out your buyers. Samsung you let me down with this phone. Instead of looking into the future, you went back in time, with this!

I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us Samsung fans in the future.

Your fan,

HSDPA 1.8 vs. 3.6Mbps
======================

Don't misunderstand the speed issue. It is not handset dependant as much as it is Network dependant.
HSDPA in few months will offer speeds of up to 10 Mbps and most handsets can achieve a great deal of this speed by default. Others may need a firmware upgrade to support faster connections.

HSDPA with 1.8 Mbps is a bit dissapointing.
Motorola & LG sell already phones with HSDPA 3.6 Mbps.

Windows Mobile only supports 65K screens. That's why.

It seems as though the battery life will be poor again because it is too slim. Otherwise it's a beautiful design, wrecked by the ugly keypad.

looks good, however, the keypad seems way to small; not sure this is the best Samsung came out with but we shall see...

Windows Mobile SE used to supports 256k color.
Most of the Windows Mobile 5 & 6 devices support 65k (effective) colors.
I dont know whats the deal but other than GIGABYTE , New i-Mate Ultimate series and a few HTC, I havent come accross any other device that is running WM 5 or 6 and still supports 256k.
Can you name anything else please.
