the phone is really awesome and the most appreciable attribute is its jog dial which is very found in the smart phones as well. So overall a mind blasting creation by Samsung.

Does anyone know if this phone has security features?
I need to be able to lock the phone so that my information can only be accessed with a password.

This is not a Quad band (850/900/1800/1900) device. I got one from Plemix, advertised as quad support, but sadly a European triband. I liked the form factor and device in general, but in the States on AT&T the loss of the 850 band makes this a less than desireable device. It still could get decent reception, but lacked the signal strength and 3G support I typically see with 3G/Quad devices I have.
Sigh.....guess the wait for a WM 6, slider is still going to be a long wait.....

the phone has no WLAN. next...
You would rarely see an ugly Samsung phone. It is safe to assume that as part of Samsung's philosophy, the design and appeal precedes, then adding the features follow.
Samsung is synonymous to diversity. Think of Motorola's recycling of design, but better.
In short, this phone is nothing but an attempt to add a variant among Samsung's line-up of windows mobile standard OS phones.
Your choice: Blackjack - dated but abled or i640 - fresh but less-abled (as far as wifi is concerned). Only sales will tell whether Samsung has accomplished a win-win deal.

Whats the deal with WLAN? Why does everyone need it so much? Not every place has WiFI. use a laptop man for wifi. Using Wifi on phone only saps battery and spoils eyes because of small display.

I sometimes wonder how many people here actually played with the phone they find fault with. This phone looks great! well done Samsung! I had a sam i320 and now have a i600. Bouth phones absolutely a dream to have. Yes, yes true, they not perfect. BUT I also had various HTC's and Imates. EXPERIANCE tells me its the best WinMobile available. (If you dont know how to work with windows mobile you'll obviously struggle)
