anyphone is better than this one...dont go for it ...i am having terrible time with this pls go for something else

Hey Andy give one try to the htc tattoo you may like it... i would still prefer the i7500.. oz ts very capable..

Don't buy this phone...
Samsung customer care says there will be no official OS updation ...
some unofficial updations are available, but samsung says don't go for it...

Is it a good phone to buy. what about ur experiences with the handset. Has got any major defects. Has it got handwritting recognition.

Do i need to wait for another handset.

Pls help me with you valuable replies.

Ya...I agree with you...its excellent for gmail users :)
nice "Auto sync" option!!!!(it automatically syncorise contacts,mail and calender)

(gmail contacts will be your phone's contacts automatically)any changes in gmail contacts or in your handset's contacts will automatically synchronize...if our friends change their photos/etc in gmail options, it will change in your phone too)

Using the i7500 galaxy last 2 months.
Pros- 1. Reliable Android1.5 os
2. Excellent display, video playback is ok,good camera
3. Excellent internet experience on 2g and 3g.
4. Huge application database in android market.
5. Excellent for gmail users

Cons- 1. Battery backup is not more than 14 hrs on regular use
2. No bluetooth file transfer
3. Not possible to connect to laptop for internet.
Possible by few paid appl like pdanet

already using 2G only setting...no vibrations/beeps...no auto syncro...background data disabled...and using dark wallpapers etc :)

But still Im not happy with its battery backup...

by d way what is your phone's backup time? and wat is ur preferred settings?

This will help you in fast running of the mobile. Use applications like i have mentioned, you will find difference. :)

some ":)" :-

Attractive Slim design, big display...
touch screen is awsome!!!...and its an android!!!...:)
android market is loaded with too many applications.
(even though we need to pay for good applications)

but I have some ":(" too... :-

1.No Zoom/WB/Exposure settings for camera.
2.bluetooth only for headset(its only for phone calls).cant connect to PC for internet connection, will not support file transfer to PC/other Mobiles.
3.camera is too slow to load.
4.can not view documents like excel, word & .pdf etc, unless you pay for the application from market...
5.video recording frame rate is low: 15fps
6.Battery : 1 day maximum!!! (moderate use)without GPS, WiFi, BT etc..
7.no equalizer for music player.
8.sometimes alert sounds may change automaticaly to some other audio files stored in phones memory...
9.sometimes video play back is not smooth...
and can not view small videos in fullscreen...
i prefer to convert videos to 480 X 270 resolu.(23fps) to view in Fullsreen.supports 3gp and mp4

10.android version is 1.5
11.no voice call record by default...(but ,we can install applications from market)
12.there is no password security for msgs,contacts, pic, videos, etc like other samsung phones.but we can lock phone with pattern (must draw the same pattern to unlock the phone.) if you failed it frequently your phone will ask gmail username and password to unlock.

This phone is dam good... only that battery backup is dam bad anyway to reduce battery power consumption?

Is it true this phone doesn't have an FM radio? I mean it's perfect otherwise, but I'd really like it to have this feature, as well!

updates are availlable 1.5 to 1.6 it is so better than older version, very shortly 2.1 is also coming my dear friends and go to link bellow
