> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-02 00:30 from baH5Save the ringtone (or any mp3 you want to use as a ringtone) to:
my device > application data > sounds
Your file should show up when you go to:
settings > phone > ring tone
Now, just set your new song or other sound clip as your ringtone. Don't tell verizon, but if you install Audacity (free from audacity.sourceforge.net) you can chop a 30 second clip out of any mp3 you have laying around and store that in the sounds folder- no more $1 ringtones!

I'll admit I'm not the most sophisticated user-- but can anyone tell me how to save a downloaded ringtone on this phone. I have downloaded ringtones from non-Verizon application- so Verizon won't help. The ringtone websit sent the ringtone via MMS-- I have saved it in the "Windows/Rings" folder but it is not showing up in my ringtone selections.
Help!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-01-22 21:35 from jBH9Hi, read with interest you were an ex-Palm user. Am desperately trying to make a switch to a phone that allows me to save contacts/sms (thread-view) to micro SD card. Can Samsung I770 do that? Also was it a challenge synching all palm contacts with I770 via Microsoft Outlook? Many thanks, Emi

Had the phone for a week. Loved the mouse loved the screen, loved the phone. the problem is the battery gave me les than 40min of all time. I have to plug it in every where. called verizone and they said it is a comon issue and it will be a while before samsung had a fix. Too bad. I hade to take it back. Looking at the Omnia.

Hi, can anyone help me by explaining that will this phone work simultaneously on GSM & CDMA networks? For example samsung 2 on or Duo works with both networks simultaneously...with 2 SIMS inside (GSM & CDMA)
Thanks...

Unlocked version of this phone is way too expensive! But I still consider this since it has the mobile office. Very useful when I need to do a quick fix on my excel file..

The phone has A-GPS. Just cuz gsmarena missed it doesn't mean that the phone doesn't have that feature.
it's better than i780 because it has support for Both CDMA and GSM networks. About 3G, read the first 3 lines of the specs!

A real pleasure. After four palm phones (6035, 7135, 650 and 700p)the shift to Windows Mobile was a big hurdle. Overall, the Saga has made the change worth while. The quality of the construction, the size and weight of the phone seem perfect. Even the color, which looks horrible on screen, is a very nice professional metallic blue. Not something you will be embarrassed to have at a business meeting or a night out. The slim (without extended battery) is sleek. The operating system is able handle multiple tasks simultaneously, most of the time seamlessly.

WOW - Unbelievable device. A home run for Samsung!
Pros - too many to list. In my opinion, this is the true king of Smartphones thus far. I cannot do the all touchscreen phones because I prefer a keyboard so eliminating the Omnia, this is THE phone. It gives you the best of all worlds - Touchscreen, querty, optical mouse, 4 way nav and stylus. Bascally, you can input anyway you want.
Cons - Only 1 - battery life is not great. I turned off alot of the un-needed and only get about a day and a half. But I USE my phone. Just ordered the extended battery :)
Overall - Buy it, you wont be dissapointed!
