About the battery - i have all functions on power save and i can last 2 days on only 50% battery with only calls and sms so it must be something wrong with your battery pack or mine has cryptonite in it:)
My unit came with Samsung's version of Garmin which i was forced to register on the net, but i mainly use Google Maps just to search the destination. If you have any more questions you can mail me at turbotee at gmail dot com:)

well, I adjusted the settings to turn off LCD after 3 mins and the single battery lasted me almost a day. (yey) I don't know how your batt could last for 3 days. I didn't do much with the phone today except text a few messages, made about 3 calls and fiddled with internet connection.
regarding GPS, Navfone is already installed on my SD card and phone, but I can't use it, I think I still have to register it (the map, which is already installed also). but I can't find the license no. where do I get it? thanks2 for your help. I just want to utilize the features of this phone, I came from a symbian OS (Sony Er) and didn't do much with it, don't want to waste it this time. :)

Mine explorer didn't connect to wi-fi either but now for some reason after i installed the latest spb mobile shell it works (only msn live still wants to go through gprs). Maybe you should try a new firmware because i heard it's not a wm bug but a samsung firmware bug. regards!

hi i just got this phone the other day. and I have the same problem with the internet browser. I'm already connected to our wi-fi at home but still the phone uses gprs when browsing. I was even trying to delete the gprs account but I can't/don't know how. Is there no other way to fix this except for opera?
btw, the phone is cool but I hate the battery life. I actually overlooked that part when i bought it. :( is there a different battery that I could get/buy which would last for even 24 hours (well hopefully longer).

I own i780 and let me tell u some of the probs:
- hangs every now and then, and its lag-ness altho it does not have fancy apps like HTC touch or whatever.
- txt sending and receiving is crazy, can delay my messages by up to two-three days.
- once battery is low, phone auto-turn off.
- Stylus is like Child's toys.
- MAJOR FLAW: SCREEN DOES NOT RESPOND TO TAPS, NOT SENSITIVE AND VERY FRUSTATING ALTHO I HAVE USED IT FOR 2 MONTHS. cant blame me for not getting used to it.
good thing tho.. is:
- COOL mouse, although there is not much use. just for the sole purpose of COOL.
- CHEAP.
- Durable.
Conclusion: dont buy this cheap crap. After all, i should never trust pda made from samsung. it's just not their stuff.
go make ur girlish phone stylish and see whether ppl buy it. For me, i'll go back to my E90. and will try blackberry bold later.

1. After synchromising with my laptop PC, how do i check a log of what has been sychronised
2. How do i connect to the laptop PC such that i use the the laptop PC's keyboard to type sms, documents,etc etc

How do I set up my Gmail account on SamSung i 780? I am getting error synchronizing though EDGE is enabled! Can somebody pls help. Send note to my gmail id 'ninkyrajiv@gmail.com'.
I did all IMAP setting on gmail. And as described, since this is windows 6.0 Professional OS and not 6.1

Hi Tommy,
I had done all the necessary setting e.g the SSID, I choose device to device,authen->WPA-None, Data Encr->AES,network key keyed. I had also key in the IP address n stuff.But still cant connect.
