Before I start, let me say that I am not a tech-head and the finer details of technical specifications do not concern me. What I am looking for is a phone that works and is easy to use. I used to have Nokias and loved them, their simplicity and design. Then one day I tried a Palm 600 and was converted. Following this I went to the 650 which was even better, if slightly tempramental.
My last phone was a TyTN, which was great, but again a bit cumbersome and occasionally sticky performance. I've just got the i780 and first impressions are brilliant. I cannot recommend this phone more highly. All the old hang-ups and problems with the first generation of Windows mobile devices have been corrected. It's light (compared to TyTN anyway) and the mouse interface works fantastically well. The screen is bright and clear and every seems very easy to use and intuitive. The one change that I would make is to adopt the Palm style stringing for text messages, a brilliant and simple innovation - does Palm have a patent on this or something?

Yeah right ..buy voice command..spend 40$ for something that does far more than voice dial.
And also the way you lookup no in phone book.?Well I got news for u ..all Win Mobile phones do the same.
If someone knows a voice dial app compatible with i780 please share the info.

Voice dial? Sure, get Microsoft Voice Command.
I don't even use voice dial even if I have the program. The problem isn't really the program, but rather the conditions that you will be facing when you'll be using voice dial, such as noisy environments.
With the i780, simply press on the keyboard and you'll see the system will start looking for names in your contact list. You can also use picture to dial some contact in the today screen.
I mostly use Voice Command for messages, alerts, or appointment announcements.

Finally, I've found a leather case and a screen protector for the i780.
The PDair leather sleeve case fits the i780 like it is an OEM case! I was really impressed when I had received the case. It's not just an universal sleeve case. All the buttons, keys, cameras, and etc... are accessible. My vote: 9.5 out of 10.
The EXIM screen protector is also flawless. It fits perfectly the screen 110%! And it has great visibility. I would say that it's one of the best screen protector out there, if not the best. My vote: 10 out of 10.
