then when you have set up the network(s) you just run wireless manager and enable wi-fi and it will automatically connect to the only existing or the strongest wireless network. Regards

> In reply to ruel @ 2008-07-30 07:36 from P@cfwell - it's quite easy actually. Under connections tab you have the option "configure wireless network" where you should see the networks at your disposal. If it's a free network you just click connect and it will connect instantly, however if it's a private network then ofcourse you need to know the settings (encryption) and password (administrator of that network should help you set your i780 up) Basically that's it. Hope it helps! Regards

To take advantage of the built-in GPS and navigational systems on Samsung's upcoming new mobiles, GyPSii will offer their mobility digital lifestyle applications as part of a new world wide non-exclusive agreement with the handset manufacture.
In accordance to the new agreement, Samsung will include GyPSii's leading mobility digital lifestyle app with the Samsung i900 Omnia and Samsung SGH-i780. This is Samsung's take on location based services and social networking for their mobile phones.

> In reply to Alexander @ 2008-07-29 09:50 from S4H8And also one tip for all the i780 owners. Please try the spb mobile shell software. It will blow you away with the today screen and touchscreen friendly interface. You won't regret it. I use it and it's a totally different phone. Cheers to Samsung for making their own today plug-in which is better than Windows - but nothing beats spb - and i tried them all - just a household tip for you:) Cheers

> In reply to Squarery @ 2008-07-21 16:25 from ibcVProbably you got configured data connection. There shuld be a field saying if your gprs connection connects to the internet or to a work network. If you don't want to use it but you don't want to delete it neither, you may "trick" it by saying it connects to a work network, and the phone won't use it for internet connections. That works on i600

> In reply to Kyle @ 2008-07-28 13:41 from ftb}Hi! Ofcourse you are right Kyle - maybe i should say it better. There are many apps for WM that can totally change/customize the look of the whole device - with Symbian it is hard/impossible to do a makeover of a phone. But sure - go for what suits you best! Regards!

> In reply to edipot @ 2008-07-28 16:47 from vxggGetting navigational software to work takes a bit of tweaking even if u bought it (i won't even go further with the illegal stuff) But if i can suggest - maybe it's better to use Garmin XT navigation from Samsung - i had no problems with it and in combination with Google Maps it's a terrific package. Try it - i'm sure you'll like it. Best regards!

> In reply to surya @ 2008-07-27 18:17 from up1Nwell, i used symbian and now i'm on windows and i must say i'm becoming a fan of windows. You can customize every single thing - you can give your phone a stylish make up every day - the software works and doesn't crash (office tasks work perfectly) So i would go with windows for business user - but at the end it's a matter of taste.
Bes regards!

> In reply to gambit @ 2008-07-27 08:56 from M{3JYes, the gps works fine. At least the Garmin XT is - so no worries there. It's useful ofcourse if you can connect to the net (gprs or umts or wlan) to use the a-gps and shorten the time for the satellites to track you down at the beginning of a trip, but that's what you have to do with every phone based gps. Works fine with my I780! Best regards!
