The power button on the I780 also serves as a sleep mode function, however this button, when just lightly pressed does not only put the handset to sleep, no incoming calls come through (ie. phone does not ring at all). Is there a setting to deactivate this button.

Hello!
I'm a new i780 owner and I have a question.
When I try to connect to Internet via Wifi, I'm always promtped to allow the connection with GPRS.
The phone is Orange branded.
How can I choose the connection way?

And another question:
Where can I found an exhaustive (and easy)manual about Windows Mobile 6??

> In reply to Ali @ 2008-06-18 11:03 from wHr1Thanx so much. The missing TV-Out and Flash for the camera are not that important to me i was just very curious if it had the TV-Out.
Ive already got a NOKIA N81, so that will be my entertainment device. Im starting University next year so the i780 seems perfect for that. Album Art and Music quality are not too important so its fine, i mainly will use it for Video, PDF, Word document and Calender viewing and also for Notes.

Here is what i found on the internet for GPS activation for i780.

=====
Go to the Start Menu > Settings > System
Click on External GPS icon
Under the Programs Tab change GPS program port to COM8
Move to Hardware Tab and change GPS hardware port to COM9 and Baud rate to 4800
Move to Access Tab and check Manage GPS automatically
Click OK to save your settings
Now launch Google Maps on your device (if you haven’t got it, go download it) and stand under the clear blue sky. Within 2 seconds you should get at least 4-5 satellites connected and a little blue dot on your map for your location. Keep the settings for the GPS in Google Maps to use the system default.

Oh, and just to be clear, Google Maps is NOT a driving GPS replacement. It doesn’t “talk” to you and prompt you with robotic voices. It’s just a mapping application that helps you find your way.

just for those people who are planning to buy this, i know there are tons of good stuff that all of you guys got to read about this phone. but here are the cons...

1. batt on average use (2hrs of call everyday and every hour texting) it will only last for 2 days. this is already at low bright display and sleep moded when not in use. but hey, there's a free batt and the charger lets you charge your extra batt so your phone is always free.

2. no camera flash and 2.0 megapix, but hey, as what i always emphasized, this phone is a SMARTPHONE and not a STYLE-FASHION-TRENDSETTER phone. so when you buy this it should mostly be for business.

3. does not come with free screen protector. you can buy them almost anywhere nowadays so its no biggie.

these three are the only ones i see as setbacks for this phone. ill keep you guys posted once i discover more flaws. but i doubt that though as the program is really solid and the after sales support is very accessible.
