Heard that someone from forums and reviews has contacted CE Star and their newest release has this fixed.
I myself not sure since not using it.
Just try to redownload the CE-Star.

Dear all,
I mentioned earlier that once I removed the Chinese software, the mouse appears again which is good. The quetion is : I do heavyly need Chinese software to do plenty of works. Can anyone, including Samsung's fellows, solve this problem for me and I would be very grateful.

I am considering buying a Samsung i780 and wanted to confirm that I can transfer all my numbers from my Samsung D900 to the i780 i.e. is the PC software compatible? Thank you.

Tomtom works great in the i780 square screen. Yet, from my understanding the current Tomtom 6 software doesn't recognize the i780 GPS by itself.
Some people use a third party software to reconfigure the hardware settings.
I just use an external GPS in my personal car for now. I then use Google map to locate myself when I take a walk, or when I'm not moving in my company's truck.
Others use other GPS programs that are compatible with the i780 such as the one listed below.

samsung i780 works great!
b4utele proved a correct service.
my only problem is the gps support.
igo/mio don't work properly because of resolution (320x320.
dear friends be more explicit on installation of tomtom. this software really works? any other solution?

Thanks so much for your help on mouse issue. Nevertheless, it's not the setting that troubled me, it's indded the chinese software that made the mouse disappeared. Once I removed that chinese program, the mouse appears.
One more thing, Samsung advertised that this phone comes with processor Marvell PXA310,624 Mhz, right ? But if you were to click the 'about' icon , it shows : ARM920T PXA311. Why ? Isn't this wrong processor ?

How to use samsung i780 GPS?
go to > start > settings > system >external GPS.
Programs – GPS program port: GPD1
Hardware – GPS hardware port: COM9
Baud rate: 9600
then go to > NavFone PPC > map view > GPS connection:
> click User-Defined
> Port: GPD1
> Baud rate: 9600
> ok ( do it in outdoor)
GPS need of full sky view to acquire first fix.
If only partial sky (or living on reflected signal), it will take up to 10 mins to acquire the first fix.
It is going to take long time to get the initial fix on the move, especially car or train.

Hi, I just got my i780 last week and I am still playing with it. I find that the speaker phone is rather soft. can any one help if need to do some changes to the settings ?

Have you installed some third party software in the i780?
I've installed quite a lot of softwares in my i780. And you have to be careful whether those software are fully compatible with not only wm6 version but with square screen.
Furthermore, you cannot just installed all the softwares in the wm6 like it is something above Windows XP (once you know that the programs that you are installing are fully compatible = no issue with the phone).
What do I mean by that? Even Windows XP will need to be rebooted for proper installation so that the system (i.e. OS) updates the change (e.g. file systems). Hence, I recommend soft reseting for most major software installation.
Through my experience of losing the touchscreen control while having installed many software in the i780, powering on and off with the power button on top really doesn't soft reset wm6. You'll either have to press the hole on the left side, or have some type of program that soft reset the device. Plus, you'll have to make sure that the process of installation is fully completed before you soft reset.

yup it is all the time mouse mode... not 4 way. after this change on second mode i can`t find options about it in all settings.

Check you setting, whether you use 4-way navigation mode or finger mouse mode

HI. i have i780 and i have some problem. some times my mouse works in some other mode.usually i click once to open program or do something. when i click and hold the mouse button it reacts like right button in real mouse. sometime this second mode swithes on :( i don`t know why... after that mouse react like always clicked on. when i click once on icon it highlith. after quick clicking twice it react like once before. when i click on scroll element it pick it up and hold untill i click again. only soft reset helps... please help...

your mouse indicator not working & no cursor at all?
u can try the following step, if im not wrong:
Start --> Settings --> Finger Mouse --> Action Method: CLIP Mouse (not 4-way Navigation) --> ok. done :)
