Anonymous, 19 Dec 2008WEll "bro" did you see the below on the i8510 specification
Phonebook Practically unlimited... moreAnd btw, "Practically Unlimited" is not the same as "Unlimited".
"Practically" mean it is still bound by certain criteria. Yes? No?

Phonebook Practically unlimited... moreHey bro, as i said earlier. This is a symbian phone.
Im sure there are third party software out there that can allow u to extend your log duration.
Thus isn't this call "practically unlimited"?
Well, im not interested of keeping my call records forever, thus am not going to find out the software.
Further more, GSM Arena already mentioned that the call records is limited to 30 days and maximum of 20 records. The review is done later than they put up the specification page. So we should buy the review's specs and not the specification page.
And yet again, what's the big deal even if it cannot store unlimited calls record?

Phonebook Practically unlimited... morebuddy you dont like the phone, fair enough...now go run along school has started.. boo whooo practically unlimited... who cares! its a call log!!!
funny how every review on the net claims that the camera is the best seen thus far on a camphone yet you think its over-rated...every review on the net claims its over all performance is the best seen on a phone as yet... but you think its over rated...
let me guess... your one of those guys who comes on and gives the phone scores of 0.0.0...???right???
seriously bro, maybe you got a dud phone..sux to be you... who knows??? honestly who cares?
youve said your words, deal with it
read the reviews...enough said...peace.
WEll "bro" did you see the below on the i8510 specification
Phonebook Practically unlimited entries and fields
Call records Practically unlimited
so please explain what "Practically Unlimited" means
Anonymous, 19 Dec 2008Quick question to GSM arena, where did they get their information from to support their claim ... moreHey bro, did u see this sentence:
"The first one brings 20 call records in each of its tabs for outgoing, received and missed calls."
in "Samsung i8510 INNOV8 review: Roaring V8 engine"
The first one brings 20 call records in each of its tabs for outgoing, received and missed calls.
GSM Arena is right.
The log can keep records for 30days. But only limited to 20 records.
This is a symbian phone, i bellieve u can download third party application if u want to keep longer call records.
Auto rotate is working fine. Maybe u did not turn on the Auto Pivot options. This phone allow user to choose whether to have auto rotate function or not.
Because some people might find auto rotate features annoying. So they can choose to turn it off. Unlike some phone not allow people to choose.
$800 as in SGD? Thats the normal price my friend? Please tell me which phone as high end as this one in the market is costing lower than this and perform better than it?
All other features are still working perfectly for me since one months ago till now. No hang, no error.
The Camera Quality is as it said in the review. Close to perfect. The Imaging features also very rich.
I wonder what happen to yours? do u really own one?
Which phone u are satisfied with?
Quick question to GSM arena, where did they get their information from to support their claim that call records are "practically unlimited" when the log have a 30 day limit. Even the 30 day log is a wrong claim by Samsung/Nokia because the log only keeps the last 20 received/dialed/missed calls only regardless. So an honest advise if you're thinking about buying this phone stop and think somewhere else, I spent $800 on crappy phone that is way too slow, the clock stopped working the second day I had it due to system error, the camera is way is over rated. The sensor for auto rotate doesn't work it's always horizantal when the phone is held vertical and visa versa, and I can go on and on....a huge disappointment

No, there is no any difference between 8GB and 16GB versions, except the memory size. I personally bought 8GB + 16GB microSD as price difference between 8GB and 16GB versions is just ridiculously high, and I do not need more than 24GB in total for now.
I think this is important that we see nokia's 8mpx phone and then decide to buy this phone, this is hard work but is possible, isn't it?
Can any one plz tell me if there is any difference between the 8GB version and 16GB version other then the memory size? Thank you.
Best phone you can get now, i have it amazing phone...
i wasn't expecting this from samsung..
Griffith, 17 Dec 2008The worst phone i have used ever. People who are willing to buy this phone please make your wi... moreMr.Griffith, nothing personal but I have a uncanny feeling that u have a vendetta against Samsung.I neither work for Samsung nor get paid by them for holding a candle to them. But I beg to differ from yr opinion on the handset's sound & camera quality. Innov 8, in my opinion,is a versatile set in general & a pretty competent music & imaging set in specific. Having said that, I should admit the fact that the design itself is not to my liking since it resembles Nokia N 95 ,8 GB & a little bulky too. After all u do not get a single devise that would excel in all areas. But in general Innov 8 is definitely an excellent mobile phone.

A very good phone and an amazing camera - for a phone.
But its still not enough to beat good old compact cameras. I don't want it to make DSLR-quality pictures, but keeping up with a 2-year old 10mp canon without IS should be possible now.
So I'm waiting for the middle of 2009, for the rumored 12mp Sony camera phones and their competitors.
As for the phone itself - if you want a media phone (music, videos, photo-, video-recoding and reviewing) and its size/price doesn't scare you (its a big expensive brick), it could be one of the best non-WM devices you can get in 2008.
When they make a camera phone, that beats my good old canon ixus 900ti and costs less than $500, I'm sold. But I'm afraid it won't be happening next 3 years...

5700 Lover, 17 Dec 2008Hi Mr. Anonymous . PLS tell me who the hell u R. I read at least 10 Mobile phone's opinion in ... moreFor sure I am not the anonymous person u are trying to castigate in yr msg. Nevertheless, as a matter of fact there are people who go on changing their toys very often. So pls do not be biassed. Have an open mind. Read reviews, evaluate them & talk to knowledgable people before u decide on yr purchase.By the way do not throw yr shoes at that anonymous person. I doubt whether they will show u on TV.Besides u will be be branded as a spoil sport.
Anonymous, 17 Dec 2008Yes I own an Innov8 & had a Nokia N96(got rid of it at 50 % loss). If u want to compare any No... moremust agree. I'm a Nokia fan and love Nokia phones but they need to step up a little. N95 is old now and the 96 does no justice, not with the INNOV8 out. Real reason I got this phone is s60 software (samsung with a nokia heart) but unless Nokia steps up, its a Samsung world. LG is pretty close but they need to take up Symbian to make any head way. Had a few and the performance was not to my liking. Didn't like Samsung until now, this is an amazing device. Camera, mp3 player, radio, video player, internet device, mobile gaming device, business tool, email, ...... list goes on and it sends texts and makes calls too! Do phones still do that?
