phantom, 09 Sep 2008it is selling in dubai for 1000 $ at axiom telecom and expected to launch in abu dhabi in one ... morecorrect phantom, I was in axiom yesterday and it costs 3700Dhs = 1000$$. Pretty expensive for a non-smart phone!!!
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I know the price from Axiom Telecom store in Dubai is 3,700 AED for the 16GB version. (Which is about $1000 USD)
According to mobile-review.com and smape.com, N85 has better sound quality than N95, but worse sound quality than N81 and N91. Samsung INNOV8 has the best sound quality among all music phones right now, dethroning the N91. The DSP sound chip that uses the DNse 2.0 technology provides better amplification and sound reproduction than any other audio chips out there. No single Walkman phone was mentioned. Looks like all the buzz is on Samsung INNOV8. INNOV8 has the best image quality among all camera phones, and now INNOV8 also has the best sound quality among all music phones. It's the first time Nokia did not take the lead this time.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970This phone in available to buy in the UK but only on contract with Orange and O2. This phone was released in the UK at the start of September here.
battery life guys?i wont to buy it later this year when price.....
Hi - have just read that this uberphone NOT will be for sale in Denmark since it will be Orange who will the only manufactor in eu. Orange is not in Denmark. I really hope someone who works for Samsung reads this because Denmark is really a Nokia-land and I thought that the i8510 innov8 should compeet with N96.
Could someone tell me that this is not true ??

Having had this phone for a week now on o2 I'm sure I made the right choice of upgrade from my N95. Only 2 negatives I have to mention -
1) The battery is no better than my N95 perhaps slightly worse. Will only last 1 day with fairly heavy usage.
2) Signal strength is a bit suspect. Doesn't hold as well as most Nokia and recent SE handsets. My N95 has full signal almost all the time in my home as does my wifes K850i. The i8510 however can fluctuate quite often.
Having said that I haven't had a dropped call yet.
As the review says on mobile-review.com, there won't be another handset to equal the i8510 until February next year.
On previous models from Samsung (like G800), you cant speak in the phone when using it as modem to a computer. Is it possible with innov8?
Just another upgraded N95
Yes it is better than it, the camera is excellent BUT
Where;s VGA screen?
Yes the phone is very good but seriously!
It only has the 8mpx cam and fp2 as a plus
SHould have had a TS screen...
man, i think i might just have been sold on this phone!!!, all you nokia nseries fans go read the i8510 review at mobile-review.com then come here n talk your smack.
dont think all you nokia fans will be so vocal by the time u finish readin it.
people, 10 Sep 2008When you buy samsung you buy the worst user menu. nokia is the best and SE second. I hate tha... morepost your comments in forums that apply to your matter. This particular Samsung phone runs on the Symbian S60 platform. The same platform that is on all recent Nokia smartphones. only difference between this phone and Nokia N series phones is that this phone feels like $1000 as apposed to any Nokia offereing that feels like cheap Chinese $200 knock off phones. (That's why you can't tell the difference between the "Made in Finland" N96 and the knock off ones you find everywhere). No difference in built quality. Samsung i8510 built quality is #1 in smartphones.
chris2004, 10 Sep 2008Just wondering....Are you all guys arguing about the Samsung and Nokia, Innov8 and N96, do you... moreThis isn't arguing, It's debating & comparing. When one company sets a milestone exp.(Nokia's N95 & N95 8GB)You can't help but to automatically compare the new Samsung i8510 innov8 which is in the same league with it. Questions popup for most people like myself as for the $1000+ price range is it worth the upgrade? Or is the 8mp camera that much better? Thats the purpose of these forums. For people to ask questions, give opinions, & share experiances about the mobile phones they like & dislike.I personally am going to buy the new Samsung innov8 as soon as the local retailers in my country supply the 16gb model.
Just wondering....Are you all guys arguing about the Samsung and Nokia, Innov8 and N96, do you get paid from the companies? Do you have shares on either Nokia or Samsung?... I think the purpose of this site and this forum is to give out true opinions not to argue with each other... no to critisize a phone but give our honest opinion after we have any phone in our hands....we are here to help each other and not to fight....
This phone looks better than any smart phone from it's class (N95, N96) and has better features too. It's just a question of reliability now. I haven't get my hands on one yet, I'll wait for some more real tests
