dear readers ive noticed that the topic of comparing the iphone 3gs the nokia N97 and the samsung omnia HD is the topic of the hour..
in the last 2 weeks i was enough lucky to deal with the 3 phones equivalently and here is my feed back ..

first of all i would like to point that the touch sensitivity of the omnia Hd is as perfect as the iphone where in the n97 its a real fail but since nokia has already announced that the n97 will be having a resistive touch screen so its not a big let down ...
but again i can assure every one that the omnia hd touch screen sensitivity is exactly as the iphone you would never feel by any difference and you would experience and failed touches the only difference is that the iphone os is far easier in browsing and surfing so the touch sensitivity is occupied more efficiently ..
my personal experience here is that the nokia N97 is not good enough to be compared against those 2 monsters so i wont talk about it..
SOFTWARE:
its a definite that the iphone os simplicity would over come any other software and in my point of view thats the main strength point in the iphone ..
the software of the omnia HD which is the symbian is quite nice but it requires somehow a person whose a little familiar with cell phones..but by the way the omnia hd software is as quick as the iphone in performing commands i barley noticed any any lags...thumbs up for symbian but yet the iphone is the winner here..
the hard ware :
both phones are occupied by almost the same hardware ..
the display :
the omnia HD is equipped by a 3.7 amoled display which in my point of view the best touch screen ever made to a cell phone device its just breath taking the colors and the details are in to reality more than its a video or a picture simply WOW ..
and this is one of the main strengths of the omnia hd ..
about the iphone its display is known for every one and its definitely very good but it cant be compared to the amoled screen of the omnia..so in this one omnia wins .
the built :
both phones are almost built using the same quality glossy high quality plastic covering the huge touch screen.
here its a draw..
the camera:
omnia hd is having a WOW camera if your a fan of photography go for it blindly..its quality can easily be compared to professional stand alone camera devices actually the omnia won an award about that.
the camera of the iphone is excellent for a 3.2 MP camera but its actually unfair to compare an 8MP hd camera with a flash by a 3.2 plain camera ..
so in this one the omnia wins ..
speakers :
omnia hd is having a very descent stereo speakers if you thought about playing some music you would really enjoy a great quality i was really impressed by both speakers and when plugging a head phone..
the iphone is having normal speakers so the feed back is not so great ...
in this one the omnia wins but the iphone off course wins when dealing with it from the aspect of an ipod with plugged ear phones..
software support and availability of applications :
blindly the iphone beats any other software concerning the 3rd party application availability and the after sale support for updates and software fixes..
no one dares to challenge apple in that..
so in this one a flawless victory to apple and iphone..

my final feed back .
the iphone is a perfect and impressively slim and casual entertainment device and it really gives you what you want using the shortest route possible just if you are ready to give away some options.

the omnia HD : is a hefty PDA that is hiding underneath it a very sneaky entertainment device but every thing does have a price and the price is that its not as simple and joyful as the iphone in dealing with.

at last every device does have its own strengths and own weakness the buyer is the sole creature who can determine with which he/she can adapt with the strengths and over come the weaknesses its more like having a partner its impossible to find the perfect from every aspect its really us who adapt according to the given..

thanks again and i hope i were by any how helpful for those who are quite confused between the 2 hand sets ..

1-iphone 3gs white 32gb
2-omnia hd 16 gb + 16 gb micro sd ..

Hey guys, does anyone no when this phone is really coming to the USA? I have a Nokia N95 and want to upgrade. I have read the specs on all the top phones out and coming. Now am down to my final 2, LG BL40 and the i8910. I like the i8910 more because of the AMOLDE screen and camera. But its seems like it will not reach the USA anytime soon. Does anyone no a real USA release date?

The specs on this phone is the best on paper for sure. The fact that Samsung decided to use Symbian is a masterfull plan. The only things you can say Samsung should have added is 480 by 800 pixels, a better flash and a 800mh cpu, then this would be the most perfect phone on earth. I still feel its the best phone out there in any event. Good job Samsung. Maybe to add those things would have made the phone to expensive.

hi, does any1 knows whats the default phone lock code for this phone? I tried '0000' and '00000' , but shows error.. And i never changed the code before !

i tried 1234, 123456 n 000000 too.. Nothing seems to work

Just purchased my phone from Optus in Australia,can't believe how easy this phone is to use,spent the whole last couple of hours playing with it.Truly worth while waiting for. Touch screen is super responsive and so full of colour, sound is great and phone feels very solid. Have put a rubber case on to protect from everyday use. No moving parts like a slide out qwerty keyboard to brake.

both are good phones, but theres some major problems stop me buyibg an iphone.
Like lack of ability to transfer files via bluetooth and its crap camera

BTW, iphone is the best music phone ever made
