mgproductions, 26 May 2009i agree.. i really want this.. when will it come out in australia.. i talked to a phone retail... moreI've called samsung australia and they don't know when it's being brought to australia - spoke to most retailers they say they need to get the retail version of the phone then make their own proprietry software, so usually 2-3 months after phones release they have them ready for sale

Browsing is a breeze and the only niggle I've come across is that Orange have effectively 'blocked' youtube videos; the site opens and you can view comments but you can't view the videos, however small. This may be a good thing though because Orange's data bundle is an appalling 500Mb (compared with unlimited with O2 and 1 Gb with T-Mobile).
Apps install fine on them (Symbian S60 5th edition) although I've only installed a couple as most aren't really my thing.
For Facebook though use the iphone link which is:
http://iphone.facebook.com. It's a joy to use and it's easier on your data allowance as well. It has WiFi too and I try to use this option for the internet as much as I can.
The only drawback is the sound accompanying video recordings but hopefully this will be resolved soon with a firmware update.
This really is a lovely phone - the best I've ever owned. I love it.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i agree.. i really want this.. when will it come out in australia.. i talked to a phone retailer and he said october.. NOO thats too long away :(
then people here keeping saying
Q2 of this year.. before the end of july..
In primitive specification it had “FM TRANSMITER “ but why in new spec it is omitted ?!!
I live in UK and defo don't have the money fot a sim-free but I really want this phone so it looks like Orange is my only option. I understand Orange put their own software on this phone but can anyone explain to me why this is such a bad thing and what kind of stuff/apps is it going to stop me from doing? And is there a way round it?
At the end of the day I don't have an iPod or good camera so I like a phone which is good for music/pics. I only really use the phone for calls/texts (obviously), music player, standard web browsing (facebook, youtube, bbc, ebay etc) and taking videos/pics - is Orange going to affect this stuff?
"hopefully will release end of June"
Damn it .. We have to wait for another month to get it here in the Middle East :(
Can't wait to get mine !

stefan, 25 May 2009Does anyone has found any web browser working on omnia hd (orange crap) ????? Try bolt browser it works fine in my viewty
can anybody make a professional extended review for this amazing phone ?
today I saw Windows Mobile6.5 and I'm taking my words back about WM:)
WM6.1 was really crap and not really suitable for a good touchscreen, I mean a capacitive screen.
but today I saw WM6.5 and I have to admit, that it's so muuuch better than old WM version, and would be nice to see it on Omnia HD or any other big capacitive screen:)
for Symbian UI is good anyway:)
