stefan, 18 May 2009he he u r reading my mind :-) i was searching for some gps maps last night.i wil, have a look ... morealways if in doubt get things sorted with 14days...if you think anything is wrong it better to get sorted now rather than leaving it,,it gives them more of a chance to just send it off for repair rather than let you try another..I was one day over 28 days with one fone and it went for frepair they would not budge,,just a caution opinion....
I began a discussion about audio in video recording on the "samsung mobile innovator forum" HERE
about, essentially, the problem of a very poor AMR 8000Hz 12kbs MONO audio during video rec
Now, I would like to know if there would be one skillfull enough to write a new video rec software in 720x480 + AAC-LC 44100Hz..
Is it possible to do it for a single man ?
I ask here, because I know that there are very good developer in this forum and not in others..
Thanks a lot!
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970my LG did the same, you have to change it all your self.
it always puts it on crappy mode to save space
Phantom, 18 May 2009LG arena is the best sound qualiy for video recording ever.Thanx Phantom, I'll test LG Arena in a shop. Do you have it ? Can I see any short clip uploaded anywhere ?
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970settings are simillar as u said.22sec.vid=28mb set.1280x720-fine.
For anyone who is interested Pixmania have contacted me to ask if I want to cancel my preorder since they will not be receiving the unit today but end of May, however even this is not certain. I am at the point where I considering giving up on this phone, thinking of an N97 where I won't have to worry about support codecs etc.If AMOLED, 720p are the price to pay it is a small price in front of the security and stability that Nokia offers. In other news 28th May SE will be unveiling new devices.

I really hope it only needs some tweaking of the phone settings and/or light settings to get similar quality as Sams vid.
Pls try it outdoors in good lighting and tell us what it is like. Thanks again

jenjaman, 18 May 2009Stefan I dont think that you were capturing your video in HD. It seems that it was in 720:480 ... moreHi all,
I intent to buy this phone. am viewing this thread from the start, however this is my first response. I think that Stefan's vid would've been OK if there was enough lighting, or cleverly placed one so to speak. I mean it is not that bad, just needs lighting adjustment IMHO. opinions welcome.
To Stefan, can you tell me pls what do you think of the overall build quality. Is the battery cover fiddly or reliable. What about the photos (I no you are'nt interested). what about Responsiveness, snappiness, ease of use. Finally, is it OK to watch your HD-recorded material on an ordinary TV set via cable, or is it limited to SD vids only (standard difinition). Thank you in advance for your response.
I love samsung till death........ all i can think about is this phone, omnia hd..... but i don't think i will buy it coz it look like a garbage phone ever seen... oh yeah, i really love samsung that's why i will buy n97.
