androidian, 03 Oct 2010CAN ANY PHONE PLAY 1080 p flv at this time? That's the question...how can you ask something lik... moreWell you got me wrong bro.I just wanted to know if it can play 1080p hd and offline flv content downloaded from youtube.wave can't do either and I'm pretty disappointed abt tht
now i just need adobe flash player 10.1 for playing facebook games,,,
MUST HAVE FROM MARKET
try noled, mvideoplayer, mixzing and battery indicator which r 2 gud to miss out.....u can play movies with subtitles with mvideoplayer
I generally think that this model because it's high-end will never get Froyo update... Instead, it will probably run Android 3.0 as soon as it's released, so we just have to wait a few weeks! ;) Am I right?
Wave noob, 02 Oct 2010Hi can Galaxy S play .flv and 1080p HD videos outta the box?yeah it can
Ive had the galaxy for a couple of months now, after an initial learning playing mode of about 12hrs I felt quite confident with the phone. Its very easy to use and very quick. The Text option of Swype is the best thing Ive seen in a long time, I wouldn't go back to the old way!
If you play continuosly you'll be charging daily, If you monitor what you using and turn off non essentials I can get the battery to last Two!
On the whole Im very happy with the phone it sounds great ,easy to use and not an I-Phone!
I would recommend this phone to anyone.
I have recently purchased the Samsung galaxy s. I have an issue with the Bluetooth. I have switched it on Settings → Wireless and network → Bluetooth settings.
However the phone is only visible to other Bluetooth devices for 120 seconds. Can this time be amended or switched off?
I installed the lagfix that is on Android Market, search for lagfix and install RyanZA´s OCLF 2.0

DC, 03 Oct 2010Hmm - my previous tinyurl link got changed by GSM Arena I think. I guess links are not allowed... moreDC, next time before you post something MAKE SURE you have REALLY tryed it. Because you're looking ridiculous now!
Galaxy S has many options to import, exort and show contacts. In contact display options Galaxy S has 4 options. Take a look at them and THEN you could write.

It was a review on Tech Radar - they say: "When using the phone for the first time the contacts will import from your SIM if you so desire – nothing weird there, and we applaud the option. But the SIM contacts cannot be got rid of from the list of names, so on the whole we're left with hundreds (yes, popular, we know) of duplicate names with little SIM icons next to them."
... So basically you have the phone showing BOTH SIM contacts, and handset contacts.
I read this review: http://tinyurl.com/GSreview
Is it true what they say here about not being able to hide the sim contacts, therefore having them doubled-up on your phone? I don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere else.
