PravSg, 12 Jun 2010Hi Ares, How is the Battery life ?hi there, the battery life is average. but definitely waaaay better then the iphone 3gs or the hd2 or even the nexus one. heavy usage, (brightest settings and lots of wifi usage, and about 3 hours talking) still lasts at least through late night, (from 8 oclock in the morning til 12 oclock midnight). not bad for the functions of this phone.
It's the best hightech-tool with awesome specs. No other phone matches up with it. Can't wait for it. Symbian 3 will be the most reliable solution for handsets like this. What ? This is not the Nokia N8 page ? Oh! - sorry.

That is just a lame excuse for the funds needed to buy it. Most of who have $700 for this phone also have $1700 for a professional cam with xenon flash kept all the time in a BMW of $57000.
Pro, 12 Jun 2010Let us know about the battery life on the 3g network. I am planning to get one once released i... morecan't believe they would make such an awesome phone without including some kind of led flash for the camera. After all Samsung does make digital cameras. Sad really they would leave this feature out when they include so much else. Otherwise I think the features etc. are great!
btw regarding the fingerprints, i cant really say much on the stock itself because i went to gmask it for you guys who stay in singapore. i asked around but there was no screen protector for it cos its too new lol. so i went to gmask and told them to put a mask a transparent film over the screen and i masked the entire phone white, even the silver portion, so in short only the screen is masked transparent and everything else is white. and so far even after my slight sweaty palms and using swype all over the screen, i still see no fingerprints. so maybe gmask's masking flims are good?
reviews have mentioned that 2.2 will definitely be released for galaxy, but no confirmed date on it yet. but i doubt it will be that quick as its already running a 2.1 as compared to other androids which are only on 1.6 at the moment.
battery life is as screwed up as iphones lol. dies really fast if you're doing many things on it. but the manual says the battery life can be prolonged with more charging, doesnt really make sense to me but i guess just charging it once everyday doesnt seem too much.
btw sorry for the double post, someone was asking about the price from singtel? its 148 with the flexi amped plan. i went for flexi value, just have to top up the 148, you can trade in a phone if you want.
for those of you who really wants a flash on the phone i would suggest just get iphone4. its not true in saying that people wont get galaxy just because there's no flash, just shows how shallow you are going for the camera, might as well buy a digicam like someone said? personally i dont need the camera, i just need a smartphone with great abilities.
speaker, so far its been doing well for me, i dont find any issues with it at all. then again i dont really use speaker function very often so it doesnt affect me.
most web says its running on 512mb but being a not so techy kinda person, i wouldnt know that but the performance has been great so far, smooth and precise, hardly gets any lag.
if you guys want to just check on its screen performance, here's a very obvious test in comparison with the other android phones. http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/m...00389,00.htm
i'm ok with no flash, indeed such a weak flash on a phone dosent help anything better...you cant rely on phone camera instead of your DSLR if you own one (except you r in rush and dont have another camera in that time)
Meh, 13 Jun 2010When This Phone Gets The Froyo Update Wont It Get Flash Then?LoL...Everyone here is talking about the flash for camera, not Adobe Flash...
if you want to buy Galaxy S sim free
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2010well, samsung is releasing the phone with only contracts. vodafone starts shipping from 15th ... moreIn Sweden there's already lots of stores with prices both with and without contracts (but it's not released here yet)
[deleted post]i dont have the phone yet but, i found it odd what they wrote about the camera quality, so i compared the synthetic test whit the one from the htc desire. and the galaxy s seems to have a much better resolution in that test then the desire.
I just red the newest Galaxy S review, so I have a few questions for those who already have the phone:
1-since the case is mostly made of plastic, how much is it prone to fingerprints?
2-how bad are those pictures taken under low light?
3-can one live without camera/shutter key?
4-review says the quality of still picture are not so great (low compression or bad optics, what is it?)
5-some say the 720p video recording stutters occasionaly? How offen does that happen? Hope it's not true...
6-why can't pictures be zoomed 100%? Silly bug...
7-is tv-out (sd video) available through 3.5" jack?
8-loudspeaker didn't get solid scores? Anyone can compare it to S8500 Wave or some other phone?
All of those question I didn't get the answer to when I was reading the GSMArena review, or I just need a confirmation. So thx to everyone making the effort to answer to those questions. Regards...
hey guys samsung wants its bada os gets popular so they didnt put flash on this fone and if u really want to enjoy android u should wait for better...
I want to buy it as soon as it is released in my country. Still i could only find the price with diferent types of contracts and i want to buy it contract free. In the end how much is it? Will the price be above 500€ ? Thanks
