Is it final that theres no LED flash? That's so dissapointing, because it take all the right boxes, all I was hoping for was to expect a LED flash with such a good HD video camera, you'd think they would include flash for still imaging, that's a step back from every other manufacturer. I may hold & wait for the I8520 or another later high end Samsung, or another Successor to the HTC HD2... if there is one!
Additionally, no amount of DLNA will make up for a physical connection. Not everyone has a DLNA compatible media player hooked up to their TV.
Don't go presuming what other people need/want "anonymous". N97 has 32 Gig memory, Qwerty keyboard, FM Transmitter, FM Radio, 5MP Carl Zeiss Optics, TV Out, Dual LED Flash.
I'd have gone with the N8 if it wasn't for Symbian^3 though and its inevitable lack of applications and dated interface. As it is, I've preordered the Samsung Galaxy S.
Yes I did mean LED Flash. That was always the good thing, go up to an iPhone user - "Can you take photos in the dark? I can!". The i9000 deprives us of that luxury.
you should read the DLNA post below ..
noone needs an FM transmitter, nor video out.
flash is on it's way, you can see videos, already running it on the nexus.
PS: n97 .. superphone .. *hehe*
Although it has Android with its creamy centre, three things stop this from being a Superphone like the Nokia N97.
No Flash, No TV Out, No FM Transmitter.
8 Gig really could do with being expanded - very small considering HD capabilities.
Compared to the Nokia N8, yes, again, Android is the saving grace, but this only has 5MP compared to 12MP on the N8, No Xenon Flash, No HDMI Out, No FM Transmitter.
I just placed a pre-order on Expansys-usa.com for the 8gb for $665.00us It will be shipped on the first week of June. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
I don't think people understand what DLNA means. please read http://www.dlna.org/digital_li...mobile_frame and http://www.dlna.org/digital_li...ow_it_works/ . HDMI is a physical interface. DLNA is not a physical interface.

This has to be the best Android mobile phone i have come across so far. Its fast, looks and feels great and a very responsive AMOLED touch screen, graphics look awesome whether its images or movies, this device should be the benchmark for all future high end Android phones, very impressed!

Jean, 11 May 2010Best review in two lines.Who needs HDMI output if you have DLNA?
If you don´t know what DLNA can do google it...
It´s better without wires ;-)
I love the Fitures of this mobile, and also expect to be improvise by adding, stereo speakers, xenon flash,
HDMI port. Plus including in box; a2dp head set, extra
battery......well..well...its not overwhelming but it requires TO BE BEST MOBILE PHONE TILL TO-DAY.
yes, I think I9000 has got all potential to be NO:1 mobile phone ever.
Again I have experince of using Samsung's I8000, B7610, B7620(georgio armani);and really admire the efforts samsung people has put on to gradually improving quality and features along with usability.
so I do have full faith in their efforts behind producing I9000,Galaxy S.
To-day, luckily by God's Grace I met Samsung team, who has allowed me to have hands on experiece of "I9000-Galaxy S"....iam amazed by the screen and the touch experience, it surpasses the iphone quality.
much more smooth scroling, beautiful UI,covering Android-2.1, a graceful new look, which is better than
we find on HTC-desire(the best Android phone till to-day).
so, folks...The Winner is on the way...lets be ready with the Red Carpet....iam egarly waiting.
Im very thankful to samsung team giving me opportunity of hands on experience of I9000, and none the less most thankful to my friends at MOBILE GALARY
