Played around with this phone yesterday... the feel of it is nice except I don't like the feel of the haptic feedback. When you turn the phone the accelerometer kicks in and you get a vibration to let you know that it's changing to horizontal mode - I actually didn't like that, and it seemed a little slow.
Also, the touch pad didn't seem too sensitive, overall I really didn't like it, but the features are great.

Does anyone know if the Samsung Omnia i900 can do a GSM-CSD data call (Circuit
Switched Data) like the Samsung Blackjack?
This is a data channel that is often used to make modem calls
Cheers

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-07-19 10:38 from S4cA - click to readHi! The reason that 3g is sucking the battery capacity is that it actually makes the phone search for/transmit on both the gsm network and the 3g network, for most parts of the world 3g has a lot less coverage than 3g and therefore the phone will use more power trying to connect/find a 3g capable transmitter. imho use 3g when u need it, turn it off when u don't, same as for gps and bluetooth :)

> In reply to Melvin @ 2008-07-19 09:32 from TIE7 - click to readIts strange that omnia only last you for 1 day, well i am not sure what is your usage pattern but to say that OMNIA sucks in the battery department is not a fair statement, if the reviewer of gsmarena can use it for 2-3days i don't see how a normal user can only last 1 day. it could be due to a battery problem, or your usage pattern, or you got yourself a ripped off battery.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-07-19 20:09 from S4cA - click to readA-GPS just means that it will use your data connection (Wifi/3G/GPRS/etc) to retrieve satelite information of your position + Cell Tower information + GPS receiver of your device to get a lock down position of your device much quicker. alternatively GPS just means that it will only use your GPS receiver information to lock your your device position, of course this will be slower.
