hey everyone :))
i'm planning on buying this device but after reading most of the posts i am getting second thoughts! most of the n/w pb r located in india or in some other places, how about Africa ?? (i'm from Tunisia)
otherwhise should i go for an S2 ??

Very important info about the screen protection of Samsung Galaxy i9070 S Advance: it does not have any screen protection. I wrote an e-mail to Samsung to get answer on this aspect and their answer was very categoric: There is no Gorilla Glass protection for this phone!
this phone is really amazing
the s advance has acorilla glass , i tried scratch the screen with akey and nothing happened
camera is fantastic in strong light , low light
the flash is very strong
the phone is very fast , you can open more than application in one time without any speedless
the games is awesome in this phone , finally the phone rated 9.5/10
and in my opinion no different between this and s2
Samsung is misleading us this phone doesn't have 1500 mah battery it's already 2500 used atleast 5 Android phones since 3 years...good never seen such battery performance on any other phone...awesome phone go for it...

hey can u guys rate this phone on network reliability.......... on a scale of 5 this help me decide wheather to go 4 it ..or other phones..
I've been using this phone now for a month and I can tell everybody that its worth every cent. The S2 is still the better device if you can afford it, but don't hesitate to buy this if its in your price range.
Here are my thoughts:
I can confirm that there is no signal issue (latest firmware on GSM).
The camera has no zoom but who needs digital zoom? You do realize that "zoom" without an appropriate optics is basically the same as cropping your picture. Use the built in photo editor for that.
Another thing about the camera, it really performs poorly in low light. The pictures are still good but it struggles to get focus if there isn't enough light and the pictures are too bright if your photo subjects are too near the flash (you have to adjust the exposure manually in this case).
The SGSA has curved scratch resistant glass (not Gorilla glass but still tough as hell) together with the gorgeous Super AMOLED screen. At 4 inches diagonal, this fits my hands perfectly. Though beautiful, the PenTile sub-pixel arrangement is definitely noticable but its tolerable given the vibrant colors, 233 ppi and that it's the cheapest OLED phone (at least in my market).
Battery life IS INSANE! This has the best battery life of any Android device I have had so far. 2 days on HSPA given moderate use.
Processor and memory are more than enough to handle most of what this class of device is meant for (Don't expect high-end 3D games on a mid-range device). I get 63 MFLOPs on Linpack and 2800+ (Overall) Score on Quadrant, ahead of the Galaxy Nexus (by a just hair).
I hesitate to call Gingerbread a downside because even if it is already old, the phone is still perfectly functional and beautiful. It runs silky smooth and all applications work without any hiccups. Together with TouchWiz 4.0, Gingerbread takes on a more updated look and an over all snappier performance.
If Gingerbread bugs you a lot, Samsung has announced a Jelly Bean for this device that will be coming "soon", probably late November or December.
The bottom line is that the SGSA is a steal at its price point. Initially I was hesitant to buy this device solely because of it not having ICS. But given that I have had this device for a month now, I can say that Gingerbread does not subtract from the device and I consider the JB update as just a bonus.
It may not be as good as the S2 but its not meant to be and is not trying to be. Highly recommended! 9/10
WCDMA preferred - The GSM phone is
capable of using both 2G and 3G data
communication and when signal strength is
low 3G is favored more.
GSM only - The GSM phone is capable of
using only 2G data communication. When
the 2G signal is too low you get nothing at
all.
WCDMA only - The GSM phone is capable of
using only 3G data communication. When
the 3G signal is too low you get nothing at
all.
GSM auto (PRL) - The GSM phone is capable
of using both 2G and 3G data
communication and when signal strength is
low 2G is favored more. This one is a bit
confusing to me since PRL is associated
mostly with CDMA technology and not GSM
technology.
CDMA auto (PRL) - The CDMA phone is
capable of using both 2G and 3G data
communication and when signal strength is
low 2G is favored more.
CDMA only - The CDMA phone is capable of
using only 2G data communication. When
the 2G signal is too low you get nothing at
all.
EvDo only - The CDMA phone is capable of
using only 3G data communication. When
the 3G signal is too low you get nothing at
all.
GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) - Some phones are
equipped with both GSM and CDMA
capabilities. This setting appears to just
have the phone attempt to stay connected
to the data communication type that works
the best. (Maybe the Samsung Galaxy S will
take advantage of this???)
Unknown - If none of the above fit or the
phone is acting weird as far as connecting
to the carrier, you will see your preferred
network type is set to this
When using the 'only' options you should
still be able to make calls.
To put things into perspective, The Nexus
One is set to WCDMA preferred as default
and the Droid Incredible is set to CDMA
auto (PRL).
AnonD-75225, 10 Oct 2012Network Problem is resolved after a bit of meddling with the phone. All one needs to do is go ... morefirst of all, s advance is not a cdma device. what u see in network mode is wcdma mode. wcdma used for 3g mode.
i have this phone for 1 month and i never faced any network issue. 768 mb ram is capable for multitasking. it is a complete device in its price range.
Network Problem is resolved after a bit of meddling with the phone. All one needs to do is go to settings > Wireless & Network > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > GSM ONLY, restart and no more network worries.
Have been using this one from the last 2 Months or so. Works very fine. Certain pros & cons I would like to share are:
Cons:
> No zoom for camera.
> Works on Android 2.3.6 Ginger Bread (Some features of ICS already there). Advance will skip the ICS & go for Jelly Bean hopefully by Dec, 2012.
> No corning gorilla glass but don't tell me you are working as a hard labor to handle this one. There was no corning gorilla glass for mobiles an year before. Still people used phones right,
> Network Problem, though solved if you are a GSM user. (Don't know about CDMA ppl).
PROS:
> Dual Core Cortex 1GHZ Processor. (Best in the class).
> 768 MB of RAM (555 MB only user accessible).
> Super AMO-LED display (Its an LED TV man). You will experience the greatness of this once you are alone on a boring travel trip.
> 4 Inch Display (Optimum for a medium sized hand).
> Can't list down others, many more...
