Getting error "failed to update. Unknown error occurred" in Kies after download is completed to 100% and process does not even begin? please help

I am confused between buying samsung galaxy s advance and galaxy s duos, which can i prefer.if i baught s advance can i update it to jelly bean--please answer me ....its needed

i updated my s advance to jelly bean 4.1.2 in india on 24/4/13.the update brings a lot of joy to me especially in two areas:
1.camera has zoom 4x
2.there's no network problem or no network loss issues.
also,the phone has become a lot smoother and faster.the animations are also great.just loving my brand new s advance!!

Samsung if you not releaseing official update then why you declair. Its enough wait now release the update otherwise you will loose the confidence of your custmer in you.

Samsung rom and extract it.
2.Download Odin for windows.
3.Install Samsung kies for Samsung usb drivers.
4.Turn off your galaxy s advance and reboot in
download mode by pressing home,power button
and volume down button at the same time.
5.The device will reboot in download mode and
you will see a warning to install custom
roms. Press volume up button to continue and
do not switch it off.
6.Now open Odin on your pc and connect your
phone to pc via usb cable.
7. When you connect the phone in download
mode to odin then the field under the
"ID:COM" in odin will turn blue and show you
the connection ID.Also in message you will see
" Added!!" .This means that your
galaxy s advance I9070 is now ready for
flashing android jellybean 4.1.2.
8. Now put a check in front of "PDA" then click
"PDA" in odin and browse the android
jellybean 4.1.2 rom file which you have
downloaded. It will replace the old rom.
9. Now click "Start" .You will see progress in
the progress bar above ID:COM .
10. After completion your galaxy s advance will
auto reboot and start with latest android 4.1.2
jellybean update.
Problems After Updating Galaxy S
Advance To Android 4.1.2 Jellybean
XXLQ4.
Now you may encounter some problems after
updating galaxy s advance to official android
4.1.2 jellybean update like device not going
forward after Samsung flash screen or hangs. If
the phone has frozen completely then remove
the battery then reinstall it and follow the steps
below.
1.After installing the battery do not switch it
on.Reboot galaxy s advance in recovery mode
by pressing home,power button and volume up
key together.
2.The device will automatically boot in recovery
mode.You can move up and down by pressing
volume up and down buttons.Now select “wipe
data/factory reset” .
3.The device will be wiped and factory

reset.Then go back and select “wipe cache
partition” .
4.After wiping cache partition go back and
select “reboot system now” .
5.Now galaxy s advance will work perfectly.
6.If you see any other language during android
setup then change it to English.
Now you have installed android 4.1.2 XXLQ4
jellybean update on Samsung galaxy s advance
