A 3+ MP camera and FM radio would have made it an unbeatable device. Well as usual just a bit short there...otherwise pretty good.

And the i780 you speak of DOES have the same features but, doesnt have the type of network for it to be accesible under 3g network. Therefore, i think that that is the only major differnce, yes?

damn people read the specs before you trash it. i780 is 3g for all other continents other than US. 3g network in US is on a differnt band. i have the i780 and i love it. epix doesn't have the 2ndary video which is weird since i assume they didn't have 1 to begin with before the 3g network because it's slow. now that the 3g network is faster, why not have the 2ndary video for video conferencing. haven't seen/touched the epix but looks promising.

i780 comes with windows 6.0 and this one 6.1.

I can't figure out why Samsung came up with this phone. Comparing to its predecessor i780, the only notable differences listed re the battery capacity of 1800mAh and the RAM at 150MB. But the talk time shown is still 7hrs (which is same as i780)?! So what's the diff? And whatever happened to the secondary VGA videocall camera? It's not there anymore...why then 3G? Do let me know the significant difference...apart from the OS WM6.1 (whereas i780 comes with only WM6...which is upgradeable to WM6 now)

I think Samsung RIIIIILLLY loves Blackberry 88xx series.... consider all of their latest model copying 88xx....

Why some people are talking about this being copy of E71 I wonder.
This design came from i320 in feb2006 then got released in different name as i600/i607 Blackjack/ Black jackII/i780 and then came i907. Blackjack was there for long when E71 was in the drawing board.
Where do you think E71 came from??? It was E61 then E62 and E61i. It's actually Nokia who changed their monster brick design to come up with E71. Not the other way around. Have a look before you post something.

heeello Everyone,
please dont post any "ding dong" comments until you really know about the product.
I am using samsung epix from last 3 days and I liked it specially the sensor/
Its a great phone with very good sound quality even on speaker. The GPS is good and fast on at&t navigator.
Camera is really good and much much much much much much better then blackjack II, video recording /quality is very good. Camera picture quality is very good.
What else should I write? the touch screen is great and it works great.
GSMARENA I love you!!!!!! but you gave this phone 6.0 rating please try the phone and then do the rating again.
The onlly concern is the phone is little thick but its very light
