Yes seems that HTC Sensation (a.k.a. Pyramid) is a good phone, but it is still a question if it will have a better specifications than Galaxy S II.

(ACCORDING TO THE LATEST NEWS)

1) Galaxy S II has Super AMOLED Plus screen while HTC Sensaion has only S-LCD screen.
2) Galaxy S II has 1 GB RAM while HTC Sensaion has only 768 MB RAM.
3) Galaxy S II has 1650 mAh battery while HTC Sensaion has only 1520 mAh battery.

Waiting for final releases and Samsung Galaxy S II vs HTC Sensation: Head to head. :)

You may recon that this is the “Phone of the year” but I will rate this 7/10.

Reasons:-
Sound
This phone does not have a loud and clear sound quality like the Nokia n8 or boom box speakers like HTC.

Camera.
It does not have a 12mp camera with at least 4x zoom with xenon camera flashlight with Carl Zeiss optics and it also lacks a lens-cover like the Nokia n900.
It should have a retina display.

Design.
It also lacks scratch proof touch screen and does not feel solid in hands like the iphone 4. The phone must have a strong body and it must not be just made of ordinary and soft plastic. It must be made tough to withstand drop-tests.

Software and Hardware.
It would have been even better if it would have 4.5 inch display and with honeycomb and 480 x 854 pixels. I myself own a Samsung galaxy s 2. This does not show 1GB RAM as stated and the phone gets slower after constant usage. The battery used is also very weak which is 1650 mAh, a phone with dual core processor must have a strong battery I suggest at least 2100 mAh which will last for long.

Personal Opinion.
Samsung thinks that smartphones which are lighter and thinner are better but people don’t care they only want performance. Samsung should create more secure and stylish smartphones.

If Samsung corrects these mistakes then The Samsung Galaxy S2 Will be Called the Phone of the Year.

Secondly, whilst I do believe the HTC Sensation is the closest rival to the SGS2, I still feel the SGS2 wins.

It is thinner, lighter, has more ram, a lot more internal storage, better battery, has MHL.

The only thing I can see that the sensation is better is the bigger display resolution.

You could argue that htc sense is better than touchwiz, but touchwiz 4.0 looks pretty impressive.

Nice effort HTC, but I will be getting SGS2.

HTC sensation just announced ;D wow now we have true competition.. LG vs Motorola.. while Gsii vs Sensation
i think now GSii will Loose there ground because nobody likes the Touchwiz in comparision to HTC Sense. also the plastic body is also hated by the users in comparision to Htc's body which they prefer aluminum !!! wow Galaxy s was true success now Samsung are in trouble.. they should release it NOW before its too late because Htc Sensation will be released within a month :) !!! Samsung.. ur sinking i love Gsii i love Sensation i love Lg i love Moto :D but the competition is now in 100% favor of HTC !!! :) best of luck to all brands !!! Also HTC Never change there release date unlike motorola or samsung or lg or even nokia. who keep changing playing with the hearts of there customers.. wow . HTC has really slapped all the brands very hard this time :) love there strategy !!!

I'm sure about that, Samsung Galaxy S supports MKV container up to 720p (in addition Galaxy S II will support 1080p resolution).
3. USB on the go is there? This feature is not mentioned anywhere other than GSM Arena
Link to the source: http://www.samsung.com/global/...ication.html (look at Connectivity -> USB 2.0 OTG)
10. Does it have similar audio effect like Sony mobiles [Arc etc]?
I'm not sure, but it should support SRS WOW HD.

2.Yes, it can play .avi files with ease.
4.It has a Mobile High Definition Link(MHL) instead of a HDMI port.
5.Using google voice to record calls works well. It can only be done when you make outbound calls though.
7.You can use the app 'vringo'.

> In reply to mike @ 2011-04-12 11:45 from fsWX - click to readHi,
While most Android applications are written in Java, there is no Java Virtual Machine in the platform and Java byte code is not executed. Java classes are compiled into Dalvik executables and run on the Dalvik virtual machine. Dalvik is a specialized virtual machine designed specifically for Android and optimized for battery-powered mobile devices with limited memory and CPU. J2ME support can be provided via third-party-applications.
Android does not use established Java standards, i.e. Java SE and ME. This prevents compatibility among Java applications written for those platforms and those for the Android platform. Android only reuses the Java language syntax, but does not provide the full-class libraries and APIs bundled with Java SE or ME. However, there are multiple tools in the market from companies such as Myriad Group and UpOnTek that provide J2ME to Android conversion services.
