amit, 01 Jun 2012hi friends just came to know that ics is available in india but before that i just want to kno... moreChoose Kies as update option, and you will not loose anything! (Contacts, Messages, Applications, everything is safe and update is easly done). and more importantly you have option to degrade the os if you feel, ICS 4.03 is not good and still your existing OS is good.
abhivsm94, 01 Jun 2012go 4 xperia....kindly give why i should choose experia. is experia got front camera, does it have a dual core processor with 1.2 gzh and 1gig of ram..? if experia got these i might go with them but if they dont have no thanks i will stick with my SG2, espcially now ive got this 4.0.3 ICS. that make this phone super special. I love the FACE UNLOCKING security of this phone. GS2 is still the #1 smartphone.

Kamal@, 31 May 2012My Indian Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 got Kies update for ICS 4.03.
my observation is:
1.S... morei got the same problem with. you mate, after upgrading my phone to ics i expected it to perform well but to my disappontment i told to myself that i should not upgraded it yet to 4.0.3 till samsung fix those many problem of ics i should have go back to gingerbread version. When i was with gingerbread the total ram of this phone was 837mb of ram but when i upgraded to ics it became 831mb that i notice my internet browser became slow, nothing really special on ics they say it will improve the battery life but for me it eats a lot of juice on my battery even more though i adjust everything to minimum brightness of this screen and by unticking those apps that you dont need ( by turning off wifi/ account and sycn/ set the screen mode to a movie ).
It also freeze my phone that i always have to turn off and on again to use it again and theres a lot apps that sometimes didnt function and it say apps has stop functioning accidentally and i'd give an option to report it and send but even you commented on the report its useless still nothing happen or report baxk from the apps that stops. The only special with ics is the FACE UNLOCKING security of this phone but beside that its all but the same, i totally regreted this 4.0.3 ics im not recomending this one unless they will fix those problem ive encountered with ics.
irsyad, 31 May 2012should i buy gs2 or xperia s??? give me suggestions please. tqGalaxy S II for sure !
Nice phone still learning how to make full utilisation.I agree that it quenched my thirst for i4
This has to be the WORST phone I have ever had.
First off lets go into the main problems...
Battery life: Poor unless you dont do anything on it and run the screen to darkest setting (but you wont be able to see it in direct sunlight). If you play games sometimes, or surf the web then you will be lucky if you only have to charge it twice a day.
Touchscreen: Not just regarding this phone but phones that are only touchscreen are horrible. Texting is difficult. Texting whilst lying down wont work. texting whilst walking is difficult (even more difficult if you are out for a while and have the phones screen on darkest setting). If its raining then you may as well keep your S2 in your pocket, as spots of rain on the screen will prevent the screen from recognising your presses. An example is that I walk to work 30 mins everyday. On the way there I text my girlfriend. My texts to her all have spelling mistakes/wrong buttons pressed. The other day when the sun was out I couldnt see the screen at all. Couldnt boost light settings on phone either as I had a long day at work and knew my battery would be dead before I got back home.
Features: Standard android. A quick phone but found another annoyance as many of you have said. With ICS theres serious compatibility issues with it and my home router. Meaning WIFI constantly disconnects and reconnects. An absolute nightmare if im playing online games at home or trying to update it with software since I constantly get "no connection" errors.
I locked myself into a 3 year contract with this phone sadly. Yes its the best android phone on the market (Until s3 is fully released), but when it gets to a point where my nokia 402 brick phone can do the most basic things better than the s2 your probably better off not having it
irsyad, 31 May 2012should i buy gs2 or xperia s??? give me suggestions please. tqAll my friends have the samsung galaxy S II
I have the Sony Xperia S, in my opinion im glad to have one, and no galaxy S II, the processor is of the galaxy is 1,2 dual core, and the Xperia S has 1,5 dual core, with a 12 MP camera! The galaxy have only 8 MP. That are just some real facts...check out more specs from it!
