Ridiculous battery claims. I've played with the device first hand and you won't get those "18 h 20 min" even if you are plugged in.

I do not have any answer to your question about "sparkling thing on the corner of the home key".
AnonD-252, 25 Oct 2011I do not get any speed camera alerts so I guess I need a live traffic subscription for that.

I've been wishing to have this phone and last week I succeeded. l noticed that it browses faster with opera mini. So, guys, can anybody tell me if it's possible to use opera mini as the default browser, and how can it be done?

Just now, I noticed a sparkling thing on the corner of the home key of my SGS2.
I tried to remove it but it will not move.
Since my eyes are not 20-20 vision, I use a magnifying glass to check and to my surprise it is something like a plastic coating on the button.
What should I do? Shall I remove it?
What will happen if I remove it?
gs2 fan, 25 Oct 2011thanks very much for both of your answers, appreciated very much

To test your S2 screen, yellow tint problem, visit this page http://fiddle.jshell.net/qFxsC/1/show/ and if you can not clearly see the yellow tint on the left side of your screen then your screen is ok!

If you look at GS2 picture on your left hand side of this page, at the bottom of the phone there are three buttons, center button, and left and right buttons.
On mine I can only see the center button, the WHITE back arrow (right) and the left one, are not clear, however as I touch them they function fine as they should, and everything is normal, but I can not visually see them!!! but they are there, if you know what I mean! (its just black)
is this the same on yours?
please let me know

I do not have any problems with my S2-screen!
gs2 fan, 25 Oct 2011Hi mate, hope you are well just one question regarding wisepilot, lets say you choose you... moreI did never try "live traffic" during my free trial time and I have not bought that as a subscription so I can not help you, and when I decide to take an alternative route I just start on that route and then, after driving some time on my choosen alternative route I just start a new search for my destination and Wisepilot calculates a new route based from my new position. I am in Sweden.

And that Grey problem is present in almost all the GSII's. Anyone claiming that they don't have it doesn't prove it, in fact I myself wouldn't see it unless I saw the thread in XDA.
Just check that XDA thread, you will see NOT a single user is having a perfect screen, either it's Bluish, either it's too dim, or the Blacks ain't pitch black etc etc..
But yes, this problem shouldn't be there at the first place, while given the premium class of this handset with the price it is NOT acceptable. Samsung didn't come up with anything regarding this issue, that's why I hate Sammy, they never come up with anything thinking that we are stupid. You may not level with me in this but that's the fact dude.
gs2 fan, 25 Oct 2011Hi mate, hope you are well just one question regarding wisepilot, lets say you choose you... moreWhere can I get the wisepilot? Is it free? Thanks mate.
AnonD-21008, 25 Oct 2011its on the left side of the screen ... completely reduce the brightness,, bring up the keypad ... moreOk, I have now seen the problem, not on my phone but on images sent in by other users! You should be able to replace the phone, the screen is clearly defect so it should not be a problem to get a new S2!
