Volume key and power button r almost opp to each other. So wh... moreDesire S have the wifi "death-grip"!
When I press the phone-icon on S2 the number-pad is the first screen that come up! I have to press the power-button very very very long before it automatically shut down the phone! It is very easy to not hold your fingers on the small power-botton when pressing the volume-key! I do not like Sence anymore because it is waste of space to have the costumisation-key always visable at the bottom of the screen, I use ADWLancer EX as my user-interface, but the free GO Launcer is also good, and Beatiful Widgets give an ever better looking weather widget than the one used by Sence!
Desire S does not have better batterylife than S2!
I use MailDroid Pro for e-mail and GO sms pro for sms!

Excuse me! 1.2GHz is different from 1GB RAM!
I hope you know what your talking about.
And when you say 1GB RAM it doesn't mean exactly 1GB, just as in the USB memory flash drive, when it specifies 16GB, the actual size is lower than 16GB.
Kindly review your information before posting!

Volume key and power button r almost opp to each other. So when u press one, other gets accidentally pressed too.
I had to browse net to find out where is the number pad so that i can dial a new number. its on extreme left on the top scroll bar under the phone. I dont know about any other way to get it open. Its poor interface design/ just ovrelooked.
memory card cant be removed without removing battery.
I guess power button is very sensitive/ a bit long press shuts it down.
But none are deal breakers for me. But I like my htc sense (desire S) ui much better than samsung.
Some issue with hotmail account set up. messages dont auto sync unless u set it as preimum account.
But guys no phone is perfect. This one is very good at least. But I find my Htc desire S as fast as this and has much better battery life, and has more user friendly interface.
Anonymous, 22 Sep 2011I'm planning to buy a smartphone which one is better? LG optimus 3d or SAMSUNG galaxy s2choose galaxy s2 so fast, real dual core:) and very nice super amoled PLUS
Chris1009, 22 Sep 2011Hey buddy how did you check the RAM?Just go on all apication on this phone and find TASK MANAGER, there you can see the real ram of this phone as well as those active program thats still running.
itumi, 22 Sep 2011Dolphin Browser and Maxthon Mobile Browser also support Adobe Flash 10.3!I use Opera Mobile because it is best at saving passwords on every webpage, but I really like the Miren Browser! Dolphin was good but just as Skyfire it have become focused on too many other things than focusing on giving a good browsing experience without distractions!
I think Firefox is the only browser that does not support Flash 10.3 on Android, and Firefox is still very slow on Android!
On the specifitions of this phone it says its a 1.2Gmz, but when I check it out the actual RAM of this phone is only 837mb ram, is it some kind of a cheat of samsung, if its so , what a shame on you samsung.
headshrinker, 22 Sep 2011wow, pinoy din! hehe. Yup SGS2 is worth the buck. Just want to share my opinion about SGS2... moreThe software-problems on S1 have been fixed with "jvs", Android 2.3.5, and Semaphore kernel 1.7.0, and S2 have some small "problems" that also needs to be fixed by updating to Android 2.3.5!
Anonymous, 22 Sep 2011I'm planning to buy a smartphone which one is better? LG optimus 3d or SAMSUNG galaxy s2SGS2 :) there is a review that compares these 2 phones and SGS2 often if not always comes out on top. Err, that goes for ALL of the phones as of today. Hope that helps!
bry, 22 Sep 2011i think for a 14 y.o like you its quite fine.

a mon... morewow, pinoy din! hehe.
Yup SGS2 is worth the buck. Just want to share my opinion about SGS2. I used SGS1 for 11 monhts, lag was really a problem. I tried OCLF w/c slightly improved but still a bad experience. I flashed custom ROMs and Darky 9.5 worked the best as far as my exp is concerned. Voodoo with Ext4 worked great and the sound improved dramatically. However, given the limitations of SGS1, the phone would often restart. SPB Shell 3D was unusable, there was frequent homescreen redraws when using ADW Ex, Launcher Pro was also good but really the overall experience on SGS2 is simply WAAAAYYYY better than SGS1. EVERY problem Ive had with SGS1 is resolved in SGS2 and offers more than what I asked for.
I am so pleased and happy that if Samsung keeps ahead of the smartphone game I am surely getting the SGS3! For now all I can say is this is an amazing sh!t of a phone! :)
Ok guys look, ive had my SGS2 since May so i know what im talking about. To save Battery Life try these few simple steps to see an improvement :-
1) use less homescreens, at 1st it seems cool to have 7 or 5 homescreens but do you really need them, i now have 2 with just the things i need & use on them
2) lower your brightness, i keep mine on half the brightness level & with the Super Amoled Plus screen i find it is still bright enough
3) at 1st i had a live wallpaper background, but now im happy with an ordinary picture as my wallpaper, it looks good & saves battery life too
4)in settings, display, background effect-i have mine set to Standard & then i change it to Dynamic when i go outside, try it you'll see why i do that
5) in settings,Accounts & Sync - make sure your Background data is switched OFF, if you tick this box or switch it on then any apps you have downloaded can automatically update themselves send or recieve data without you knowing & this could seriously drain your battery within hours
6) be sure to download Samsung Kies & using a USB cable check for the latest firmware update
7) in widgets(keep your finger on any homescreen page), i find it useful to have the Program Monitor on my homepage to let me know of any Active Applications i may have forgotten to close down
8)finally, in settings, Applications, Running services, i check these from time to time & get rid of any that i dont need to be on that list, this is a personal choice though, i only have Digital clock, AccuWeather, Swype & settings is always there as standard.
I now get a good 2 days out of my battery having made a few calls, sent a number of texts & watched a movie, try a few of these things & im sure you'll notice a difference if you've been struggling with your battery life, good luck.
