how much a droid could be powerfull, how much it could be light, slim with this huge screen and long life battery. I dont say who can find a disadventure of the this super-droid, is somebody find can add a feature that phone lacks?
itumi, 28 Aug 2011Yes its true, it does heat up but not to the extent that you cannot touch it. Any electronic d... moreS2 does NOT get warmer than any other phone, IPhone and N8 get atleast as warm if not warmer! S2 does definetly never get "overheated" after updating to 2.3.4!
Anonymous, 28 Aug 2011for the person saying that this phone doesnt heat up, ur fooling urself as the phone really do... moreYes its true, it does heat up but not to the extent that you cannot touch it. Any electronic device heats up due to excessive use, and if you say no, you are the one fooling yourself.
for the person saying that this phone doesnt heat up, ur fooling urself as the phone really does generates alot of heat, i know cuz i got the phone, u cant really use the for for a longer time without it heating up, old batch n new batch all same problem, tho mine doesnt have the yellow tint nor the pink spot.
Hi, upgraded to GS to GSII. The LED display oftens displays yellow orange colour.Need to switch off the phone & Restart it to resume to normal colour display.
All the other features of the phone are excellent. Another rumour is that Android is no more with Samsung. Its with HTC. So what about the software updates & service.
Having two problems. One I just picked up on last night. First is I have one of those units with a yellowish tint on the left side of the screen but only becomes apparent when display brightness dims to low brightness level & it looks like mustard stain rather than white. I bought the phone in brand new condition with original screen protector from ebay.
The Person had only broken the seal to check contents. Now I know it was genuinly new so it comes across as a defect among many hundred of other reports amongst android samsung & review sites. Not just reporting screen defects but other GOS, WIFI, hot to touch.
I only noticed the screen defect, but some people say the effect is minimal & not worth replacing. However my opinion & thought is that some people have the problem worse than others, & some people see the defect a lot better & it matters to them. To me I can't help noticing it. I don't really want a brand new phone with a defect like this.#
We pay for products which are supposed to have defects & issues & problems solved. We don't pay for faulty products we pay for working products. With this phone you pay a premium you expect it to operate without any noticeable defect which hampers performance or operation in any way. The screen plays a vital role in the UI experience & I feel this is not good enough.
So if I report this to samsung I expect a fault free phone replacement. samsung has had a lot of good light come from news sites, blogs, etc.. but they haven't owned up to solving this issue. So one thing samsung doesn't want to do is gain a poor reputation from the good & silently push it under the covers & have a big customer RMA issue. This will cause them no end of problems.
Second is not so important but I would like to know how samsung applied the bright orange mountains wallpaper picture to the photoframe widget. As soon as I took some photos with the camera or downloaded some images the photoframe widget only allows you to add pics from camera or gallery & there is no way to re add the wallpaper picture???
123vel, 28 Aug 2011i think sgs2 4g is good and cheaper also . What is their any one using the same and now is itI think so...
faris, 28 Aug 2011does galaxy s2 has a scratch resistant glass??Yes because it has a Gorilla Glass display. Gorilla Glass is an unscratchable, unshatterable material used as a protective window for your mobile phone, PMP, or laptop display. Check this site about Gorilla Glass: http://gizmodo.com/5726124/wha...orilla-glass
This is one of the best phone, but the major major problem is with the battery. we have to charge it twice a day. U have to take risk while traveling. since it is bigger in size very difficult to handle. some time u may not be able to pickup the phone, eg. if u r in canteen or traveling or in bus etc., needs spl attention always.
there is no profile setting option. every time u have to go to setting and change what u want.
