At least if they cannot update it to kitkat, they should have fixed the endless number of bugs on 4.3.
Poor people who updated their phones are stuck with a terrible battery life .
so that don't buy Samsung......choose only those brand which is taking care of customer rather than earning and sending 100 of new model in market. people want stable phone rather than lots of bug.

Will it be possible?
tiestolord, 17 Apr 2014yes mate there is ;) use vroot english versionThanks :)
And if samsung thinks that the S3 users will be "forced" to buy the newer models, I think their strategy isn't really going to work very well.
because we no longer trust samsung on future updates, and out of frustration, people might just turn to other companies!
aaloksingh123, 17 Apr 2014Latest version of kit kat is in market from one year....if Samsung update s3 in time then defi... moreIf? LOL.
That’s a BIG if.
Think about it.
Look how many model phones and tables they make each year. And look how much stock of each the make to keep up with demand. You really think updates for old phones will ever be on time with them?
Just looking I the update history of past Samsung phones before I got the SIII I knew that would never happen.
You talk about HTC & how long kitkat has been out. But there are regions where the HTC ONE M7 & Max still don’t have kitkat 4.4.2. HTC also makes a lot of differ devises each year but it’s nowhere close to the amount different devices like Samsung makes and mass produce.
You want timely buy iphone or nexus
They don’t try to flood the market with 100 different phones each year. & they don’t have to wait on some 3rd party to make the OS, then add a skin & shit to it after, which have to be tested on all the different versions of phones before it can be sent out.
It as simple as that. You want timely, don’t buy from manufactures that are stretching them self too thin trying to bring out 100 versions every year.
My gs3 consumes lot of ram , is there any solution to reduce ram consomption I totally erased the data by formating the phone

You don't understand the their intension. they only want to sell new brand so they don't give update.

1. Not everyone region has 4.3 as yet.
2. It is common practice of Android phone manufacturers to stop updating a phone after it is 2 years old. And the SIII is officially 2 years old.
So don't feel like the same thing with not happen with a next brand if you switch brands.
samsung is greedy, and never give kitkat to s3, they just looting customer
we are also waiting for kit kat for so long for my s3 (i9300. each time I search news for update but Samsung ignore it...so leave it and don't choose Samsung phone when you purchase next time. How funny it is when Samsung is producing kit kat mobile with 500 Mb ram but they said s3 is not capable. They just want to sell newer brand...there is not other reason for not giving update for s3.
I need kitkat update for my s3.There are so many bugs in 4.3 jelly bean & every body say kitkat is more stable than jelly bean.I don't know why some people are complaining about kitkat update.
estelle12, 16 Apr 2014Is there any way to root S3 without losing warranty?yes mate there is ;) use vroot english version
Thank you Samsung very much for not giving update to Samsung galaxy s3 (I9300). We don't expect anything afterward from Samsung.
nikz, 13 Apr 2014is it possible to conect pendrive in galaxy s3???? S nikz we can connet pendrive with the help of otg cable it costs 70 to 80 rs oly its plug and play type no need to install any app
francoist, 14 Apr 2014Hi guys.
I really like my S3. For me it still feels the most natural in my hand.
My phon... moreThe term “stock version”. Means the unmodified version made by the manufacturer for your device.
The stock version of android for the SIII comes with Touchwiz and S-voice.
If you don’t have that, it means 1 of 2 things.
1. You have a fake SIII
2. You have an authentic SIII but don’t have a stock ROM installed.
Side effects of not having a stock ROM are….
a. You don’t get updates for you Android.
b. Even if you re-install the stock ROM. You still don’t get updates because your flash counter would have detected that at some point you had an un-official modification (rooting is just one example) and now your flash counter would no longer be set to zero, which is needed to get updates from Samsung.
Anyway, based on parts of your question, something tells me you are mixing up the term “stock version” with “google play edition”.
Google play edition is when the official ROM has none of the manufacturer U.I. add-ons in it and it’s just a pure version of Android. (No S-sweat, no touchwizz, no bloat ware.)
Both the stock i9300 version and the google play edition has "google now". But only the stock i9300 version has S-voice which is part of the S-sweat of apps.
So if you are asking if the SIII has a google play edition, the answer to that is YES. But it’s not for the i9300 version of the SIII. So it’s impossible to get that edition “stork” for the i9300 model. You would have to get it “Cooked”
