What matters is clearing your cache partition just before you do the flash.
It saves you from potential head akes. I learned that the hard way.

Some sites state that you have to have it on but I always forget and I've never had any problems flashing phones.

Another small tip for you. If you buy any more rechargable batteries then look for Sanyo Eneloop ones.
You know how rechargable batteries discharge themselves even if you don't use them? Well, these ones don't.
In fact, Sanyo boast on the packaging that 'Retain 75% of the capacity after 3 years'.
I use them and recommend them. Look out for them on eBay or Amazon for the cheapest prices.
(All this typed on my new cheapo keyboard).

4 duracell cost me about $40.00tt i think. and because I don't pay attention they die in the middle of using.
So I put usb rechargeables in the device that could support it.

Then try to update to Android Jelly Bean if your phone still uses Ice Cream

Proof that things aren't always as they seem:
A friend of mine was experiencing problems with his S3. The screen would turn itself on ramdomly even when it was sitting idle; the screen would sometimes go black, and the only way to get it going would be to take the battery out and replace it. A lot of Force Close messages started appearing, and eventually it wouldn't start at all.
I flashed the phone with new Firmware and that cured it - for two weeks before the same problems reappeared.
I was about to give up and tell him that he had hardware problems when I noticed that the phone stalled on 'preparing SD card' when I booted it.
I researched the problem and came up with the answer. It was his 32Gb Sandisk card causing the problem.

I replaced his memory card with a Samsung 32Gb Class 10 card that I had and he hasn't had ANY problems since.

@ Anthony
I went into my local Asda store (Wal-Mart to you settlers), and purchased a Microsoft 800 wireless keyboard and mouse today. Actually, I bought the last 4 on the shelf because they were only £5.00 ($7.50) each.
Why buy 4? Well, if one goes I can just throw it away for that price. In fact, the 2 X AA and 2 X AAA Duracell batteries that were included cost about £5 if you buy them separately. Crazy huh?

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-05-18 04:36 from LC6q - click to readThere is a colored led on the top left face on the phone. It has some limited support by the installed system, but the app Light Flow allows much more control. Now the led reminds me of new emails, sms and some other apps I have. It can be a little hassle to get working, make sure to read the description on how to get it to work on the app's page. After that it works really well.

on a similar note (for gamers)....i found a you tube link where the guys used his pc usb receiver for an xbox controller for gaming on his phone. This was done on xperia arc and he was playing xboxlive free games with the bluetooth xbox controller, and the pc usb receiver plugged into the phones usb otg. Being an arc then he also could have used the seperate mini hdmi port to put it on tv. Thankfully i'm not so much of a kid anymore to do all that. But still it was very ingenius of him.

> In reply to UK user @ 2013-05-18 12:57 from JCrJ - click to readYes the sola is great.
No changing battery
No ducking station.
And after almost 2 years of indoor use only, the user replaceable watch battery is still reading 100%
And the usb receiver is a unifying model so multiple input devices from logitech can connect at the same time to one receiver.
Waiting for a solar mouse to be made now. :)

> In reply to Anthony @ 2013-05-18 13:04 from PHur - click to readyeah i do. But it seems the games i would play like nova 3 mc4 are not compatable. I haven't tried those myself...but i had done lots of investigation on you tube. Nztechfreak had nova 3 on tv with a psp controller (maybe xbox) but that was with root. AS for driving games....well when i'm in the gaming mood it's better with the gyroscope/accelerometer. Gameloft put out amazing games like nova3 and the controls suck. Mc4 however has great controls when i play on tv with the phone as controller.
