June, 26 Mar 2013Then if theres no s3 launched in vietnam then where could it be possible?,,.....can u just sto... moreI canít tell by the information you gave
As I said before Android does not belong to Samsung.
And I can change my base band at any time (I have done it more times than I can count using Odin3 and roms readily available for free on the internet.)
Btw. I have a made in china model I9300 (service provider branded)
What I could not change is my IEMI number.
Take a picture of that battery compartment (the entire compartment) and post it online.
Then come back and post the link here. Just by looking at it sometime you can pickup on things that are not correct.
In regards to below discussion that is going on
regarding the made in VIETNAM, well the cell phone S3 which I am using says its made in Vietnam. After removing the battery I checked for this information.
SAMSUNG MOBILE PHONE
MODEL : GT-i9300
Made in Vietnam by Samsung
Cell made in Korea, assembled in Vietnam
This is in the systems.
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version 19300XXELKC
Is it still a fake? cause I purchased it from a very recognized retail outlet in Saudi Arabia.
Some of you may not want to hear this but the world is not made of cotton candy and chocolate milk.
In the real world the very assemble plant that assembles the brand name device some times also assemble the look-a-like (at what I will call after hours) switching out some of the more expansive parts with a cheaper alternative to cut cost. You the retailer get it at an unbelievable price from an unauthorised seller that way it stays off the official books of the brand name product.
This happens all the time in the world of electronics and you can fall victim to it not just with Samsung products.
S3 USER, 27 Mar 2013Anthony please run AnTuTu Benchmark.Click on device info once you finish test.It shows the Exy... more@ S3 USER
I ran the app as you asked and would like you to know the information shown(not generated) in the DEVICE INFO is a saved default/generic online spec sheet for a SIII and not actual tested information. It would be possible for a clone to trigger that very same page to load.
e.g. which internal scale did this app wipe out to calculate device weight?
Just look at the style of the font for that information itís not an indication that it was generated on the phone. Its more like a saved web page.
The tested information is located under the System info tab (notice the difference in the font) which clearly identifies the CPU as Quad-Core ARMv7 Processor with frequency 200~1400HHz
Go take a look at it again
vlat4e1, 27 Mar 2013Ok iam not involved in this to much I just want to know is the original or fake s3...
some... moreIf all you are interested in is knowing if you have a fake or not
Your IMEI # will tell you that. As Samsung has no exclusivity on any mobile chip model or Android version. But as a large legitimate company, all there mobile devices made through the correct channels (not made a after hours, some of you will know what I mean) are registered with a unique IMEI
It is written on the battery compartment sticker.
If you think the sticker is a duplicate you can also find it inÖ
Go to the link below and enter the # (dashes not needed)
There you will find out ifÖ
The IMEI is valid
Mobile equipment type
Date of issuance
Legal basis for allocation
And some additional information
please can you tell me how to make a copy of my count names to the memory card ? thanks

vlat4e1, 26 Mar 2013Hi, can someone tell me please... today I buy s3 and how can see that I have exynos processor?... moreThe CPU in the SIII is the Cortex-A9.
It should show up as ARMv7 as that is the architecture used in the Cortex-A9 CPU
Donít mix up CPU, GPU and SoC they are all chips but they do different things.
vlat4e1, 26 Mar 2013Hi, can someone tell me please... today I buy s3 and how can see that I have exynos processor?... moreLet me stop you right there
You canít see if you have an Exynos processor because it is the SoC (system on a chip) not the CPU. And the SoC can be Samsung Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon. Depending on your region.
Hi, can someone tell me please... today I buy s3 and how can see that I have exynos processor? On quadrant benchmark info pad say that is: hardware:SMDK4X12...

Samsung sells components to other phone manufactories
Those components are covered under the Samsung warranty service.
Not because a phone using a mix and match of mostly Samsung components (some of which can be found in the SIII) and an open source OS (Android) (android donít belong to Samsung)makes it a SIII or a official Samsung product from there retail product list.
Think, there is an other big name phone maker that use Samsung legitimate manufactured components and would take you to court if you said the phone that is the fruit of there work is a Samsung retail product.
Freefaller, 26 Mar 2013@ Anthony
PROOF of what you are saying for those who doubt you!
Itís interring to note it is clamed to be built by Samsung Vietnam but can you really call it a SIII
Model is said to be GT-i9100 (the GT-i9100 is one of the SII models)
8GB phone memory (The lowest SIII is 16GB)
There is a reason you keep seeing the word COPY popping up its because they canít say it is the official SIII.
Donít be suckered like Jack, Subin & a very good friend of mine.
I will say it a again.
Buy made in china or Made in Korea. (it actually says that in the battery compartment no beating around the bush with words like ďassembledĒ.)
Other than that you buying a, well crafted/assembled to deceive the unsuspecting eye imitation.
an for the die hard sceptics I say post the picture of the battery compartment for me to see.
