Got tHis phone in dubai yesterday for dhs 2499 love it, even better than the htc one x as the htc had a poor battery. Finally a great great phone.

Is it just me, or are the phone makers missing out on a group of customers that would actually like a SMALLER phone? Before smartphones, I always had thin clamshells. When I finally got a smartphone, I chose the HTC Aria (Intruder). Not the greatest phone, but it served it's purpose and still fit in my jeans pocket. I need to upgrade soon for my work and I had high hopes for the Galaxy SIII. But it's even larger than the SII! It has the power I need, but not the portability. I'm afraid I'm going to crack the screen if I put it in my jeans and kneel down for anything. Am I alone in this? I don't need a large screen, but it seems that's all they are catering to. I am anti-apple because of the things I need the phone to do for work, so I feel stuck. Arrrrrgh!

They trying to be first at CPU, but they don't make the phone to work well. 2 GB of Ram is useless now. There are no games which need that much. 1 Gb can handle everything well, believe me.

I think 2GB of RAM is overkill to be honest.You would have to be stupidly heavy on multitasking. Also no games manufacturer would release a RAM heavy game in todays economic climate with no 2GB RAM smartfones on market.Remember if you want heavy gaming a dedicated console with proper controllers would be better option..

Basing your next smartfone option on 2GB RAM is fruitless as no one is going to consider putting that in their smartfones without full testing and more battery power..Each bank of RAM will increase power load but sometimes can cause latency issues.Much better to have RAM clock speed increase than RAM boost.

If you are looking to iphone 5 for your wish Apple would never stoop so low..They would have their engineers eek every ounce of code optimisation before releasing the phone..Apple will not go to 2GB RAM with IOS been super silky smooth and very highly optimised.

but quadcores with 1gig ram is useless.
nothing impressive i could do with this phone i couldnt do with s2 with 4.0 update.
very soon 2gig ram quadcores will be available and this phone will be just ajoke.
and when jellybean is out it may suffer from upgrading dificulties as s1 bcz the ram is the mosr important thing. besides that it has only superAmoled screen not plus, thats why i prefer s2. but on the other hand smart stay is the major major point.
idont know what to do, iam afraid to throw all this money on device will not stand for a year not 2
