I used to have the same problem too. I noticed it only when playing intensive games. After I've stop playing it, I didn't have that problem. Not sure if the latest updates have resolve the bug.

blah blah blah......same old arguments, iphone is better, SIII is better, One X is better.....dull dull dull
Pls can someome tell me how to install apps in micro sd instead of phone memory. Whenever i wanna install, it doesn't give an option for memory card installation, it goes straight to phone memo. And also pls tell me how to move or copy file such music, pics, videos etc from phone memory to micro sd. Thanks in advance!
Got one of these a month ago, and I'm impressed, upgraded from a Galaxy S2 with the thought that there would be almost no improvement and was wrong the S3 is an excellent phone, although really the cost of upgrading from and S2 to an S3 at the moment in my opinion not worth the money as the S2 is an excellent and VERY capable phone.
The phone is buttery smooth, and rarely skips a beat doing anything. Even under heavy use the battery lasts extremely well, better than an SII without a doubt, I've talked for 7 hours on the phone and had about 36% battery remaining this is after installing app updates in the morning and having the phone on idle for a few hours prior. It typically lasts me with moderate to heavy use an entire 24 hours, and my push to two or three days with relatively light use. With that being said if you're running CPU/GPU intensive tasks it's entirely possible to burn through the entire battery in a matter of hours but it's pretty unlikely you'd do this every day unless you play games non stop, and a USB cable fixes that easily (a laptop with a nice big battery can supplement it quite well :)).
Samsung also have made several changes to their software, further integrating many of the applications which were present on the SGS II, swipe is now an option under the Samsung keyboard and I haven't had a crash yet so it's much more reliable than Swipe was in my experience. The lock screen offers direct access to your phone book, messaging, Internet, and camera, which is a nice addition and direct access to the call log or a message if you've missed a call or received a message. It also offers eye tracking which prevents the phone from locking if you're looking at it, which for me has worked near flawlessly one of my pet hates with the SGS II was unless I upped the unlock timeout to 10 mins it'd often switch off on me, with the SGS 3 this allows me to conserve battery with a short timeout without impairing battery life.
There is only one thing which I can fault, they've removed the message button from the keypad, which adds a button or two to each text sending (settings > send message) so it's not really anything major still a minor annoyance.
Still my recommendation - get one! Probably not worth the cash to upgrade from an SII or similar phone, but if you own something older like a Galaxy S or Xperia X8 *shudder* then grab yourself one of these they're an excellent phone!
PS
Oh and to answer peoples questions about storage - you get about 11.35 GB on a fresh phone due to OS overhead, formatting etc same as any device whilst it has x GB of storage that's before taking into account overheads. Also it's got a card slot so if you slap a nice big memory card in there you can get yourself quite a bit of storage :)
Ink spot - out of about 10 Galaxy S2's and 1 Galaxy S3 I haven't seen a single instance of this issue.
Samantha, 26 Jul 2012hi everyone.
Look in this forum S3 is suffering and struggling to please its users but I can ... moreS3 is far better than One X on everything! One X have a lot more fatal problems, and most negative comments here are written by HTC iPhone or Sony fans that pretend to have a S3!
Read the One X forum and you will see real users with real fatal problems with their One X!

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2012neh! quad core s4 krait will kick this exynos ass.,.. its better only because its much newer. the newer exynos equivalent will destroy the s4 where as s4 is just better than current exynos
jin, 26 Jul 2012I had this phone for 5 days. Touchwhiz is very fast but looks ugly compared to HOX. Not mentio... more-ink spot is not a common amoled issue. people need to stop spreading lies. it also might be the low qyuality of a video.
-two-the galaxy series are just about the best to use under the sun. Its the high contrast ofblack to colors of amoled. lcds do tend to be a little brighter but amoleds are nowhere near dim. and amoleds still look way better.
-what do you expect playing games on a quad core HD phone? For the best battery in the world?
AnonD-31664, 24 Jul 2012780 is about correct for 1gb devices.
200++ is used by android OS.
Just like storage: 1... moreThx 4 reply,
But you got it wrong.
If notice say 1g ram, then there should be 1g not 780mb ram. Its a bit like buying a brand new car which has 4 cylinders and 16 valves... you pay for that, if you found that ur car only has 12 valves you go back to the carseller and complain, no?.
The sIII has 220mb dead/unused/lost/ or missing ram.
OneX has 980mb ram so very close to the 1g ram announced.
(Both tested with android assistant)
Anyone with sIII could tell me ram really in use they have. Need to know if there are bad batches or there are all like that.

Different memory, ram, screen, audio chip, processor, body, antenna, charger port, motherboard, and so on and on and on. I dont understand how people keep saying there is no difference.

God i m proudly a 4s owner! So you are proud to be the owner of a stolen copy that looks like old samsung phones and steels partts and ideas while buying the rest. All to total out to one of the biggest ripp offs, lies, and social conformities ever. All while still being buggy as hell for being the only worked on phone they have and being locked down tight useless os. Good job. Glad some people are wiling to settle for sh** so some of us get all the goodies.
Mehtab, 26 Jul 2012Please don't buy the SIII it has got very worst battery life. Nothing infornt of iPhone lmao! Nice try troll bridge.

Fab and funky fone. But why is the battery lousy? I thought they said it was going to be good?
hi everyone.
Look in this forum S3 is suffering and struggling to please its users but I can assure you as I'm HTC One X user, that One X is far better that this phone even prices can tell. HTC Sense 4 wow, wow, wow, the phone is super faster. HTC is for professional and business people not S3 a student phone who are still in laboratory. Well Done HTC
