OLED technology is the common technology with phosphorous compound that has ITO transparence anode.

AMOLED is Active Matrix OLED. The panels are different from OLED.

Samsung's Super AMOLED has no ITO transparence anode layer. Which allows pixels to be more vivid.

Being ahead in technology is bullshit if it can't last.

I don't know what kind of school you came from, but understand the word "Quality".

On paper this handset appears to be the mother of all mobiles, its going to be a ripper!
Hope it comes to Australia quick smart.
If it's all it claims to be, us Aussies will snap it up.

> In reply to aaron @ 2011-01-14 17:33 from 2W96 - click to readAhead in OLED technology, Yes. But ahead in quality? HELL NO.

Samsung make cheap phones.
High specs are in the sheet, but sturdiness fails.

Besides, AMOLED doesn't last as long as TFT or LCD. Super AMOLED has a layer taken away... and now Super AMOLED Plus is just pushing the pixels to its limits. I don't know how long the display will last.
