Hi All,
I would say this is an excellent phone for its price.People who randomly criticize are those who are demanding gold for the price of silver.
some of the brilliant features include multiple alarm clocks, call duration for all calls (unlike for last call only), brilliant camera, good sound,magnificant appearance. there are some drawbacks like lack of themes,no full screen for images etc but other feature compensates for it

In order for you to change the tone settings like type, ring tone and volume is by going to the Profiles menu of this phone, edit profile, and adjust whatever setup you'd like for your tone with respect to the specific profile you are editing. This is also the way how to adjust my tone settings of my old SGH-C300 phone.
I've done a hands-on test on this phone already and the price is just that tempting for its features. I'm gonna buy this phone a couple of days from now. Still waiting for the right budget.
What I liked of Samsung phones is that you can set the backlights to off or on depending on the time making the battery last longer.
So before you comment, explore more. Developers of cellphones don't just make softwares just for the sake of making one, they make them to make us customers keep comin' back for more.

i can't understand you people. This phone is great.
Don't comment if you dont know how to manage it!
this phone can install all java stuff
this phone can change volume of every sound and use manual ring-message tones.
my battery lasts more than 3 days despite of ~30 sms traffic per day.
the only thing that's bad is the sound quality of headphones. They basicly sucks.
Whatsoever , it worths its price ;)

If you but this phone, or any other Samsung, you will NOT be able to install any game through your pc, or any other program.
This is only the case with Samsung.
My advice: buy ANY OTHER brand.
If you search the net, you will find people crying for help over this point, with no solution.

Good phone, but battery big disappointment. Not 960mAh as specified, but just 650. Lasts hardly one and half days that even with just call functions.

i have a nokia 6300 & solved this.2 week ago i buy samsung L700.that very good & better than 6300(the java ram is 1mbg,no support up than 1 megabyte apps & games)
but no easy install java & these media player didn't equalizer

Here's how to adjust the volume of the ringtone:
1. Find a friend (if you have any left after ignoring their advice) who will still do favours for you.
2. Ask them to phone you.
3. While the phone is ringing, use the volume key to adjust the sound.
That is the only way to adjust volume. Genius.
