hi.i need to know whether does it play mp3 music or is it just mp3 ringtones only.beacuse i have loaded mp3 music but it doesnt allow me to open it or play.

i bought this sh*t for my grandma for christmas and i descided to charge it so she doesnt have to and set everything up for her (ringtone, sms tone, xilophone key tone, background etc.)...(i didnt try the mp3 ringtone function because i thought tone6 is nice for her, anyway...) i descided to put a picture of my family as a wallpaper. i think she'd like that because shes a little oldschool and she wouldnt understand how thats possible, plus this is going to be her first cell. so.. while i was doing all this i realized that it really looks good, but it has a few problems like the kontrast problem that some of you were complaining about. im like ohhh.. the screen is a little sh*tyer than i expected. 65K? WTF man? my brothers creyon set has more colors, anyway i didnt really make such a big problem out of it, but the contrast thing bugged the hell out of me. seriously! i open it, the contrast is good, than i open it 30min. later and the colors are faded. i didnt think anything about it up to the point i found my self reseting it for the 7th time, anyway i got so damn mad i wanted to put it into the blender ...luckly i didnt loose my composure, i took a big breath and took it back to T-Mob. i ask them to exchange it for me and the guy looked at me as if he had brain damage. EXCHANGE IT FOOL! i growled IIII KIIIILLL YOOOUUUUUU!!! (jeff dunham's achmed the dead terrorist) anyhow he replaced it after he understood the situation... took him a while pfff... f**ker. it hasnt been 4 hours its been in my posetion again, and the damn faggot phone is doing it again. made me strait up angry again.

my guestion: does anybody know the medication for this defect???

tomorrow im going to take it to the samsung service and if they cant fix it im going to demand my money back because, its a mass-defect phone and the contrast problem wasnt stated on the box, bargained for more than indicated. meaning i have been lied too. if anyone wants to return it and get their money back i suggest you threatn them with consumer protection. thats what im going to do if they have any "if and-s or but-s" regardind the repair or the returnal.

this phone is a big disapointment. at least im never geting a samsung again. ...just trying to see the positiv side.

Well... the phone is indeed much more a phone than a multimedia fancy portable "computer". Didn't had the screen problem, not yet at least (two weeks since I have this phone). For the MP3 integration... actually this is possible, but with some "tight" limits: maximum file size = 150Kb

I have a 148kb mp3 sound at 128kbps/44100Khz/stereo for the ringtone and works great.

In case of an incoming call, can i see the caller's name or phone number on the exterior display?

in ma phone deres option set as dats not workin i cant set any odr ringtone in ma phone ....its not supporting any odr song tone xcept its own ringtones...wot shud i do ?

I got this phone as it was advertised to have mp3 ringtones. Well in fact it cannot assign the mp3 to your ringtone. As for playing the mp3, it cannot even do that. I also thought it could record video but it cannot. It can only snap pics. As for the memory...4megs is so limited for the year 2008. Come on.
I think it is a nice phone but HATED being mislead by the false specifications. I am going to try to get it exchanged for a phone that wud suit me best.

This phone has great features but I cannot get the phone to play downloaded mp3. This is a design defect.

I have sold many of these phone how ever after this a customer came back with the complaint of being unable to use mp3's they placed on the phone after some research i realised that its a world wide problem i would like to know what can be done to amend for this aparent defect of the phone

i bought this phone about 2 weeks ago. everything about it is fine except the fact that the screen sometimes gets blurry without no reason and quite automatically. whenever it happens i have to go to the contrast setting and readjust it. it really drives me nuts.
