Here are things you need to know:
1. Upon approved application of HSBC credit card you get a voucher to claim phone, you can avail the phone or not.
2. If you avail it Sun Cellular will charge to your card P8400 = P350 x 24months + P350 1month deposit. But enrolled to HSBC Installment Plan 0% interest of P350 a month for 24months.
3. Your paying for the Plan not the phone. P350 = Call&Text Unlimited for a month + 200 free texts to other networks or you can still avail 350 consumable + 250 free text.
4. When claiming/applying for it you only need a valid ID, the voucher and your HSBC card. So the only advantage here is you don't need any financial documents unlike for applying a regular plan.
5. If you apply to a consumable plan all excess usage beyond 350 will be charged to your card.
6. The phone comes in two colors white or back. The white comes with 128mb and the black comes with 512mb. It only comes with the memory card, charger, and headset. NO USB CABLE. Use a microSD card reader or a adapter for SD card reader.

> In reply to jen/hsbc plan @ 2008-08-13 17:14 from vxiPthink!!! on plan 350 of sun cellular, u got an unlimitted talk and text sun to sun, aside from that u have 200 free text to other networks in a month. so were's the price of the phone from that scenario? now, if you got a pre paid phone, u have to pay 1 peso for every text with 160 characters. in this plan of sun cellular u got unlimitted sun to sun and 200 free text..!!!

Somebody told me that you have an option not to avail plan subscription if you purchase at least Php1500 using your HSBC card and show the billing statement when you claim your unit at any sun offices. Is this really an accurate info?

> In reply to Lee @ 2008-08-23 10:02 from P@cfif u want to avail the phone, on the other hand, u must really pay for the 350, that 350 will be charged to your hsbc card so that hsbc would be sure that ur credit card is of use... cause if they'll just give the phone wihtout any condition then why have such promo in the first place?

Just a correction, you are not forced to get the phone. Recently applied HSBC and got my card, it includes a voucher to get the phone if you want it and it says while supplies last. Only thing special with HSBC's promo is the 128mb microSD free. If you cancel less than 2 years Sun will charged 10,000 to your card and if your card gets canceled before your Sun you will be ask to pay the remaining months advanced.

i'm using dis phone ryt now from hsbc... so far it has no side effects.. the camera works well in the morning or if ders a light.. but in the night it is not good to used... since of course it is only a VGA camera.. but it is good and it has an fm radio.. u cud download and send also mms.. sound quality is also good.. however, battery life is not that too long.. but it lasts for one day.. it can also be loaded with mp3s coz it has a music player.. for me it is a simple nice phone for dos hu just want simple and unsophisticated features...

yes you can just simply avail the same 350 plan at sun cellular but if its not the promo from hsbc it may be a different phone that will be provided, perhaps something of lower value than this one. but if you avail hsbc's promo then you'll get this phone which may be better than what sun cell offers if not under hsbc.
