After seeing the 'Vibe Red' version on youtube. Just couldn't resist ordering one.
Recived it today and compared to my 'Mirror Black', the red just oozes coolness.

You are correct Jamie. The Beat DJ comes in the three flavours you mentioned. The two rarer colours are:

*Mirror Black* (I purchased this colour from a Phones 4U store here in the UK. It can also be found on various web sites).

*Vibe Red* (The rarest of the three colours and was available in Germany).

THERE'S NO QWERTY KEYBOARD... I just wanted to mention that a couple of previous comments aren't right - there isn't a qwerty keyboard in landscape in the phone's browser. You have to use T9 for text input. You can, however, install a different browser - I've put Opera Mini beta 5 on it, and that DOES have a qwerty keyboard. The thing is, though, that it uses qwerty for portrait as well, which is completely unusable, and even for landscape it's extremely small. This is partly because the screen is on the small side for a qwerty keyboard anyway, and also because Opera Mini uses part of the screen for some navigation buttons. I gather from Googling that it's possible to hack Opera Mini to remove the navigation buttons, or it's possible I suppose the non-beta version might be different. Removing the onscreen navigations buttons might increase the qwerty keyboard size to something more useful, but I haven't tried that yet, so I don't know.

This Phone is a great little gadget, I purchased mine from www.play.com and it arrived in 3 days. The seal was already broken, but there was a samsung security seal on it, to let me no it had been checked, I think this was because the samsung m7600 had problems when it was released so samsung apparently recalled them all. When I started the phone up It was quite slow, but it sped up after i restarted the phone every now and then. When I started the phone up the samsung funclub screen came up and the colours of the screen looked a little dodgy It was like a gradient from black - grey with purple lines, Has anybody else seen this?, The phone feels solid and not flimsy, THe screen is very responsive, much better then the tocco lite screen, just slightly smaller. You cannot used a stylus with this phone as it has a capacitive touchscreen. This is a better type of touchscreen normally seen in highend mobiles such as the iphone. The music quality is absolutely fantastic. I don't know how people can say it's bad. It's very loud to, louder then most phones. I have had a lot of phones samsung mobiles being my best for looks, not always for the sound quality,The beat dj also has many equaliser settings, so you can go through them all and pick the best setting for your style of music. The DJ app is very fun. You can make your songs sound funny and have fun for hours. This phone is loads louder then the tocco lite, I know this because the tocco lite was my previous mobile before I bought this. The battery is quite good too. But the tocco lite battery is slightly better not by much though. Texting on this mobile isn;t as bad as I was expecting, It's just getting used to it. The camera is good, The flash works well and the camera is no slower than the tocco lite I was expecting worse after reading a lot of reviews. There is no qwerty keyboard when texting but there is when surfing the net using the phone. The memory card slot is on the outside of the phone which is great and can be easily took out so you can use the adaptor to put your files onto your pc and add music to your memory card with no hastle. The 3.5mm jack is also an advantage so you can use most earphones and headphones. One thing that annoys me is the locking and unlocking hold key. I would recommend this phone to anyone. It's maybe not a new phone but it's as upto date as the new ones. I bought mine in splash blue which is a great colour. Apparently it also comes in Vibe Red and Mirror Black, but i have never seen these colours in real life only on google images ahha. I haven't come across any major problems and hope I never do while I have this phone. I have plenty more to say about this phone but I need to go.

Hope this helps anybody :D

Jamie

Depending what i am looking at on the net depends which way up the phone is.
