very tough phone till right now, I bought it in 2002. just changed the batt only

Very strong fon there, slamed it on the floor one too many times, but still worked after all.
What i liked about it the most was the Voicemail feature on the phone. u dont need no network charging you for voicmail with this fon...

My very first phone, I don't even know in what year I got it. Back in the days I chose this phone as an alternative to the Nokia 3300 or 3400 everyone had. I felt for its stylish metallic look (which from then on, was a stayer for Samsung) and its neat blue backlight.

Of course it's not all romance when looking back. The phone has terrible buttons which you sometimes need to press quite hard to get feedback from them. With sms messages longer than the screen, the screen didn't move down but to the right of the screen, making the message extremely unreadable.

Most of all, I missed four directions on the directional button instead of two. Quite strange, because back then there wasn't a single affordable phone with a four-way pad an its operating system didn't need one either. I guess even more than being my sweet first phone (with a terrible intern antenna after I dropped the machine twice), the N500 was a base for my thoughts how phones could improve.

Actually this not a comment its a question, I wuold like to ask what will I do with my phone cause its not chraging anymore. What will I do?

Insane phone its enourmously strong. All power i have trwo up then he fall dwon ant nothing. The only thing killed him is air gun shot to the monitor. Keybord shot, battery and back weren't killing him :D

Phone Sucks at times... Yes!!! once it falls or slips to floor... it starts respondn to incoming calls as switched off!!! That means the caller will be told by the service provider that phone is switched off.. although phone at your end will be showing everything proper!!

This phone is not good. That is my opinion. It has good stile but everything else is not good. I can't dial some of my numbers. When you dial me and when my phone is on sometime show's to you that i'm unaveable.

Apart from the Limited memory for messages and missed calls, this phone is the bomb. the Answer fon function totally freaks me out.

this is the most stylish phone available in market. this is an important part of my life and i love this phone like anything.

I have been using this phone for 3 1/2 years now.. love it to death !! the problem is that there is no phone memory for messages & u cant messages either.. also , the paint is comin off BIG TIME . which just makes it look very tattered.. have no plans of buying a new one as of now so if any one knows a good repair shop or someplace where it could be repainted do let me in on the details!!

hi i just got this phone for free and found that i could only store 10 sms in the SIM card and none at all in the phone. is that the case? if you have a solution please email me. thanks

well i have this fone for 3.5 yrs..i loved its user friendly software and menus.following r the positive points
user frindly,battery reliability, light weight,soothing sound,looks,easy to handle and keep,
but from last month i m facing a truoble network ,, signal shows full network even if there is weak signal, sometimes call can not be completed, broken voice,i recommend not to buy this.service is important not looks.nokia fone is wonderful..go for nokia..robust,reliable..and ofcourse connecting ppl..thats true..a real freind..

Out of the masses of phones I have had, and some fairly high spec ones, this has got to be one of my favourites. Samsung oulled no gimmicks here. It did exactely what is said on the box, is light and looks great. Something you don't really get now- a phone that may not have absolutely everything on it, but still looks awesome (where is the styling on the new low series nokia phones?). This phone lasted me for ages, and my mum has it now...the battery has also never failed me unlike countless nokias.
