Ive had this phone for over a year, and although there are some annoying aspects to it (cannot set ringtones to text message alerts & the wifi is pointless) It is a very good phone, It looks nice but would survive a world war, can play videos, and mp3's etc, good loudspeaker, camera, micro sd port.
my personal hang up with the phone is that Ive got over 350 songs on it (2gb sd card) but i can only put 30 songs on a playlist to listen to on the go.

The unit is good but right now, there is no support for openline or open to all networks.

I just bought this phone and I did not like the speed of processing my pictures from the memory card. Other wise the phone is worth the price it is sold. One cannot expect to get every thing on any phone, no matter how expensive it may be.

> In reply to caitoxose @ 2008-01-09 19:08 from MIaFExactly the same happened to me. I then asked for all the WAP bundles to be removed from my account (orange) and it worked the very next day. Does not seem to cost much to download on WIFI either.
Sometimes I have to turn the phone off and on. I think the fault lies with the provider.

User Inetrface not very intuitive. Wifi is not open to connect to hotspot and browse. This restriction should kill the phone!

Having spoken with the Orange Shop in Walsall UK.
I have been told that the WIFI on this mobile phone is Only for the Orange Broadband WIFI Boxes supplied with their broadband offer.
It WILL NOT work with any other WIFI you come across.
So if you want a cheap wifi phone to access internet for free at open access points look elsewhere there are better phones to choose from.

it verifies that your telephone is connected to the suitable MAC and that the type of authentication is the correct one, it is to say to WPA or WEP of 64 bits or 128 bits. Can you question to the Provider Network the parameters correctly

i have had this phone for about a month now and i absolutely hate it . one week afer i got it, the lcd display in the screen broke. but im stuck with it until my dad decides to buy me a newer one . you have to be uber careful with it. its so light that you loose track of it . and you cant set ringtones to text messages. the slide on it gets slower and slower .. and the screen gets dirty with fingerprints . i hate it. haha .

Iy promises much but the software is not intuitive and on phone management is lacking. For example bluetooth a video from another phone and the P260 will bury this in the other files folder from where it cannot be played or transfered.
